I am going to be in Chicago for opening day of NFL and I really want to watch the Texans/Colts game. Anyone know where I can find the a place to watch this game in the downtown area? It would be awesome if I could find someplace that had the sound for this particular game...

My first choice would be Halsted's. After that I would recommend North End. If you want food and drinks then Halsteds will be your choice. North End just for drinks.

Ah you meant downtown. The ones I mentioned were in the gay district. Now if you want a good bar I would recommend the mecca of sports bars. ESPN Zone. I go there often and every time I have a blast.

Sorry but that place closed this summer... it sucked anyway, it was a bad "theme bar" for tourists.

Printer's Row has two bars that show games, but I'm not sure of this game in particular. Call ahead, but I'd inquire with Kasey's and Jimmy Green's.

By Millenium Park there is Elephant & Castle, it's a cool pub with a warm happy hour environment, I think they show games sometimes (it's on Wabash and Randolph). Another one is The Tilted Kilt, it's more commercial and "touristy" but they def show games there (it's on Wabash and Madison, a block from Millenium). South Michigan avenue also has some sports bars in the area.

Those are both good mainstream choices. The only gay sports bar I can think of is on the north side (about 5 mile cab ride from your hotel). The bar is called Crew. They have lots of games on all the time, cold beers, and a full kitchen too.
