I know this might be a sensitive topic but I'm so ashamed .... I have Internal Hemorrhoids Stage 2. What should I do now?

Stage I: Bleeding only, no prolapse
Stage II: Prolapse that reduces spontaneously, with or without bleeding
Stage III: Prolapse that requires manual reduction, with or without bleeding
Stage IV: Irreducible prolapsed hemorrhoidal tissue

Has anyone here experienced this? Advice really appreciated. icon_smile.gif

See the doctor. Long term management includes

DIET.Get this right. Eat fibre, vegetables and fruit. Drink water. This will solve most issues

EXERCISE: be active, this helps with elimination.

So, it´s actually the same stuff that makes you look good. The human body is the way it is because IT WORKS... if you eat right and move then many of the "inevitable" health problems are kept at bay. Modern life is PROFOUNDLY unhealthy.

Guys I know who get fucked regularly don't get them.

One friend started using a small dildo to dilate his butt when he was in the shower and after a week his went away.

    Totally anecdotal, of course.

"Reading on the toilet: It would most probably be one of the most interesting statistics. How many millions are guilty of reading while sitting on the toilet? Sitting on a toilet for too long can cause hemorrhoids. The sitting causes the pelvic floor muscles to relax and the rectal muscles to strain. The same applies to sitting at a desk in front of the computer, without regularly taking a leg stretch, to relieve the continued pressure on the veins in the anus."

But sitting on the toilet is the only time I ever find for my crossword puzzles!

applying a warm salt water solution to the affected area before bed will help reduce swelling, and over time remove the problem (if you need immediate help, go to the doctor).

MuchMoreThanMuscle said. My diet was good, or so I thought, but once I eliminated grains and substituted sweet potatoes as my source of carbohydrates I go to the bathroom with no problem any longer.

The problem with that, is that sweet potatoes are the most disgusting food ever.

Maybe not worse than oysters, sweet breads or other non traditional meats.....

But really.... Sweet potatoes make me sick. Just the idea of them. Blugh. And the odd thing is that i LOVE vegetables.... just that ONE that I dont like at all.

Do you guys really think that getting fucked would help? I've seen that suggestion here more than once. I'm seriously asking because I have occasional hemorrhoids and because of them I've been afraid to bottom.

If you have hemorrhoids, you should see a colorectal specialist. If the hemorrhoids are small, they can use a banding technique that is relatively painless and solves the problem with 1-2 office visits. If the rhoids get severe, your only option becomes surgery.

Since many useful pieces of advice on this matter have been given, especially and including seeing a physician, I shall now suggest something deliciously evil and utterly useless:

    BURN THEM....

    ...WITH FIRE.

Man, I've had internal hems before and "eating more fiber" is definitely not the best advice from what I experienced. Not all fiber is the same and eating raw veggies or fiber that is high in complex sugars (yams, cucumbers, squash, beans) and eating whole grains was not the way to go for me. I got hems from poor lifting technique and from holding in gas while working out.

What worked for me was taking softners (colace) for about 2 weeks) and taking warm baths at night before bed. It helps calm muscle spasms. My pain was worst in the AM, from gas building up at night and I had to figure out the best sleeping position. I would have to pee a certain way too to release the gas slowly, otherwise, the pain brought me to the floor. The other thing you have to learn to do is figure out what foods cause gas for you. I used Citrucel vs Metamucil (sp) because it didn't cause nearly the amount of gas.
