Hey, just started this thread to ask if you have a gay bar/club that you really like, and tell us something about it.

So in my experience there are:

    - Places that are great to dance...

    - Bars that have that kind of metropolitan/stuck-up kind of vibe, but are still worth it because there's lots of eye candy and the people watching is good...

    - A rare, few bars that are fun, easy going, friendly, where you can make friends easily and just leave having a positive feeling...

    - The kind of corner bar you would go to when you just want to drink, cheap...

Did I miss any categories? What is your favorite place like? Straight bars count too if you really love the place...

UNIVERSE in San Fran is long gone but will always be one of my favorites. Great music, plenty of room to dance and a few good spots for people watching. And I liked the mixed crowd at MICKEY'S in West Hollywood but I haven't been there since the fire.

Which style of dancing would you like? Too many to list here.

Contrary to my first impression, I've gotta say Blaine's in Savannah Georgia is the best I've seen for that.

Coyote Bar (not Coyote Ugly), Downtown Hollywood Florida. It's gay-friendly, but nothing here is cheap. In their off hours, my White Russians are $10 each. When they're busy, $15.

Fav: Coyote Bar. It's very small, with a covered outside seating area, and sidewalk bar stools.

Woody's in Philly. It's nice because it has a very chill downstairs to just have a few drinks, and upstairs, there's a huge dancefloor if you're in the mood.

Uncle's. It's nothing spectacular, very small, chill bar. But I did meet a guy there last week, so that wins the bar brownie points.
