STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 3 Stanford men's water polo team (0-0) opens the 2010 season this Labor Day weekend at the UCI Invitational in Irvine. The Cardinal begin the year with a 10:20 a.m. contest Saturday, Sept. 4 against Pomona-Pitzer then conclude the competitive portion of the weekend Sunday, Sept. 5 against Redlands at 10:20 a.m.

Update: Stanford prevailed in both games this past weekend........
15-3 against Pomona-Pitzer, and 23-5 against Redlands.

Now it's on to the Nor-Cal Invitational games to be held across the bay in Berkeley the 18th & 19th.

H20-polo update:

Stanford is ranked fourth (MPSF .... Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) and is now 12-5. Most recent win was against UC Irvine (7-2) and the next game is against UC Davis Friday night. The MPSF conference is Friday, Saturday and Sunday (11-26, 27 & 28 at Stanford.
