    What's your reaction, usually?

My mom has lost over 50 lbs. in the past year and can only take seeing pictures of her heavier self in small doses...

I found some digital photos of myself from 2005 -- scary! I look much better now. icon_cool.gif I usually have the mindset of "What was I thinking?" when I go through old photos of me...

Depends... recent years the pics look pretty decent.. so long as we don't go back to the "geek" phase. Whenever people see those, its OMG. I'd rather pass.
    LOL

I have been digitalizing some of my old photos using an HP photoscanner. I don't shy away from the less flattering ones. As you can see from the one below from the Fall of 1974 (Grade 9 class picture).

    Grade 9

Nine years later I looked like this.

    New Years Eve 1983

Which is a lot closer to what I looked like when I was three.

    Age 3

An old Polaroid I scanned, it was taken after my first haircut by a barber.

Hehe, the beer can is a nice touch 1969er.

I've been on a hunt for all the pictures of myself in my teenage years I can find...so they can be burned.

I love looking at old photos, to see how much resemblance there is to what the person looks like now.

Timberoo you are a sasquatch! And I thought I had a hairy chest, very manly.

Paradox you were a very cute kid, nice dark hair.

ShawnTO your teenage photos have got to be better than mine, I put up one of the more flattering ones. Thank heavens for contact lenses. Notice I was not smiling in Grade 9, that is because I had braces top and bottom. I also used to get bad cold sores. My god I was a homely teen!icon_lol.gif

Yeah, well it's not like you woke up one day and chose to have crooked teeth and cold sores. I had a choice, and thought platinum blonde hair and PVC pants were a good thing. UGH!!!

Thanks, a moustache suited me but it was such a pain to trim properly that I shaved it in 1985. I grew a goatee and moustache in the 1990's, but my goatee went white a few years ago, so I figured why look older then you have to!icon_smile.gif

I shaved my goatee off for the same reasons. Dye wouldn't take. Oh, and my chest hair looks darked in that pic because it's wet.

Mostly I notice how skinny I was, and victim to some really unfortunate hair choices...

I like some of my pictures from when I was just little.. ie:

    lilkenbc.jpg

Though from about the age of 9 until about 18 there was a protracted period of oppressive dorkiness-- awful hair, HUGE framed glasses, stick figure body & uncomplimentary posture, oily skin and poor fashion choice-- that yielded not a single photograph fit for publication. Now whenever I find any pictures of myself from that stage, there's a lenghty ritual involving some candles, a knife, a similarily-dorky looking child (or, in a pinch, a goat), and the opening of a portal to the deepest depths of the void for disposal. That's the only place where those pictures belong icon_razz.gif

You look a bit like the blonde guy from Queer as Folk. The actor's name is Randy Harrison I think?

I just remembered, there's a photo of me when I was around 6 or 7, and I have my arms out (with jazz hands!), my shirt says "rainbow," and I had the gayest look on my face. LOL. Who knew...

I don't mind seeing my old pictures but I do find it embarassing when other people use them as their own:
