I've worn eyeglasses for 52 years, since I was 9, now progressive bifocals. And contacts since 1965, but only socially these days. Because the contacts only correct distant vision, which means I still have to have reading glasses handy, as I can't focus on anything closer than about 4 feet without them. I can't even make out what denomination bill I take out of my wallet without reading glasses, much less see a menu or something. Hell, I can't even make out the instruments on the car dashboard! LOL!

Your own glasses look great. If you gotta wear them, make them a fashion statement. I've opened my private pics to you, so you can see me in glasses.

Had glasses since I was 11 or so.
I wear glasses even in my cropped pics; only take them off when going to bed...
Since I'm short-sighted, there is an added bonus; when I take them off, everything seems to be a bit bigger...

I really only need them for driving but haven't worn them since they were stolen when my car was broken into a few months ago. I haven't made it to the eyeglass place yet, but I'm usually only in the car about 45 minutes a day so I figure I can by without.

    You DO look dorky cute.

I've been wearing glasses for about 6 years now. My vision isn't bad, but it's bad enough to piss me off if I don't have glasses on. And I'm night blind. icon_cool.gif

Glasses for 40+ years. Tried contacts when I was in college, but I have gnarly astigmatism and at that time could only wear hard contacts. My eyes didn't really respond well so I gave up and started rocking the glasses full time.

I've thought about Lasik, but at this point I'm thinking I would look best in glasses, since there are a few more wrinkles around and bags under the eyes these days.

I had those huge, dorky "nerd glasses" from about 8-14. Finally started using contacts and now use those interchangeably with a pair of a bit more stylish glasses icon_smile.gif

I am still getting used to mine, since I only need them for Driving its half bad. I would never be able to use contacts, even have problems with getting eyedrops in there.

I remember wanting glasses when I was younger. I thought it just made you look smarter, more mature. Now that I do have glasses, it's a pain in my butt. Always need it to drive, but thank goodness my prescription is low.

Let me suggest refractive surgery. Just make sure you find a competent physician. Don't go to one of those doc in the box centers.

The glasses do look good though--very cute!COLORED TEXT GOES HERE

I have been wearing glasses for as long as I can remember. Since like 8ish. I am so blind without them I have to put them in the exact same spot at night, or it takes me hours to find them. One day lasic will happen....one day, and until that day I will wait patiently for the lottery gods to pick me!

BTW - You're glasses look amazing.

My current profile pic was a senior pic. I had to be escorted the ten feet from the photographer to the tree...trust me when I say it was weird moving for the shot at her instruction when I couldn't fucking see...lol

I wear contacts (not colored ones though, which many people ask). I only wear my glasses either first thing in the morning or last thing at night, and maybe for a whole day every month or so. My eyes are really sensitive due to their lightness and all my allergies so my eye doctor always frowned upon me using contacts, but glasses all the time would bug the shit out of me.

No more...thank goodness...wore glasses in high school and college, then transitioned to contact lenses, but then just got tired of the cleaning, getting the right solution, etc...did the LASIK about a year ago 20/10 vision on each eye...was not expecting these results doctor. said at best 20/20, but eyes just adjusted - it was weird through the recoup process I would be at work and all of sudden one eye would sharpen like a focus lens up and down...this occurred for a couple of weeks, its was definitely freaky.... I left like a zoom camera lens. Doctor said it was perfectly normal, eyes were healing.

I started wearing glasses in the fourth grade. Hated them! I finally convinced my parents to let me wear contacts when I was twelve. I just find contacts more comfortable since the glasses are an inch thick! There is a rare photo of me wearing glasses on my profile page. I'd been up for about 24 hours and the contacts were getting uncomfortable so I broke down and put on the glasses.
