I would.like to thank everybody for an entertaining and stimulating time over the past number of months. Participating here has distracted me and helped me deal with a very difficult breakup, combined with a bad injury, that left me in dire straits emotionally and physically.

I am leaving because the increase in belligerence here is leaving a bad taste in my mouth, and I seem to have picked up a bit of an unpleasant stalker. I will delete my account as soon as I have had time to finish deleting all my posts and threads, which should be good news for those who don't like what I have to say.

To everybody else, thanks again, and all the best!

But you're one of the sane ones! Please consider taking just a break for some time.

    Best of luck to you

    TheGuyNextDoor saidDAMN IT!!!
Why do you have to go? Can't you just take a break like most of us do around here.. even if it's for a few months? Please consider that over walking away for good!

yeah, it's only a forum for heaven's sake. Keep it in perspective.

TheGuyNextDoor saidCas,, you deal with loss your way and I'll deal with loss my way.
Some of these guys around here I consider friends,,, like the OP.
If I hate to see him go,, I hate to see him go.....simple as that.
And that's how I see if from MY perspective. If it were Stuart or any other trouble maker I'd not say a word.. But I've really enjoyed my friendship with the OP since he came aboard and I for one will miss him.

I was talking to him and agreeing with you. ... Sorry that wasn't clear.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI noticed too that Viveuvivas has been getting hit hard by a lot of people on the site lately. I think it is fine if you disagree with someone but the word belligerent is a good word to describe how some people are being toward him.

Belligerent? Remember that thread about being friends with people with differing political views? Throughout the discussion V. kept insisting at higher levels of vehemence that he could brook no dissent in a social setting. That seemed pretty belligerent.

I hope we can convince him to stay. I just sent him an e-mail begging him not to go, at least not this way.

Instead of wishing you to stay, I'm just going to wish you happiness in whatever path life takes you.

Well I haven't been here for long, but seeing your responses to the thread "Gaining Muscle Mass... Concerned/Needing Advicve" and the backlash it got, I'd certainly want to leave as well.

Just don't take it to heart mate, you've got lots to share with those who're willing to listen! (For the record, you're right about the fat cells icon_razz.gif)

    Hey.

I have been online for a long time and being online is part of my life as I am sure it is part of yours as you have been able to deal with a breakup and so many other things because of this life.

To change a part of your life because of one person is not worth it.
    Don't quit.

Totally understood. Sometimes it's good to step back and say "is this the best use of my time?" and if not, change things. Enjoyed reading what you had to say.

    Hey viveutvivas,

"and I seem to have picked up a bit of an unpleasant stalker."

We have a few of those ourselves. I think you should hang in, perhaps let your account sit on idle for awhile and/or go hidden if you like whilst you take a break.

Please reconsider. You and I have gone head-to-head on some topics but it's always been interesting, makes me think, we have some of the same buddies (which to me means you're a nice guy) and the site will be diminished without your POV!

-Doug (and if Bill were up he'd be ditto-ing, lol)

    I'm crying right now.

    Not.

But do ppl have to be so dramatic and make a "farewell thread."
Like honestly, 99% of people will not care.
If ur gonna leave just delete ur account and don't say anything.

The Stages of a Typical RJ Farewell Thread

    OP: I´m off
    1. no don´t go
    2. go. I don´t give a fuck
3 why do people have to make farewell thread, just fucking go
(4 private emails follow leading to either)
    a. OP goes
    b. OP doesn´t go
    c. OP hides account for a while and comes back later.

    For what it´s worth I´m a 1.

I'm just another guy who enjoys reading you whenever I happen to see you post something. I think some of your comments have really helped guys look at a topic with a new perspective. Don't go..........just ignore anyone you don't care for and enjoy the rest of us!

Actually that goes for some of the posts in this topic as well; ignore the ones that attempt to hurt in the name of snide or funny. It's neither.

Saying farewell is always a good idea. it gives those that like you an opportunity to let you know.
