Do you get or watch LOGO (the free gay channel) http://www.logoonline.com/

I like it but I am getting sick of the films, they are all depressing and about people dying. I much prefer there sketch show, reality shows, and In the Life, and Advocate programs. What do you guys think of LOGO?

I used to watch it, but not as much, in reality it's been a drastic cut. Nothing on there interests me anymore and they seem to show the same programs.

I watch it from time to time, but they seem to have the same stuff on all the time. I'm not into the big gay sketch show, but love Rick and Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple. I can't wait for the next season.

Seems like they're always showing programming geared towards Lesbians, not my thing!

I can watch it for an hour or two a week. The problem to me is that the movies are edited for PG rating, there are loads of shows that are more lesbian and trans centric.
Believe me, I love my lesbian friends but the shows seem to be geared to a lesbian audience as well. I don't particularly relate to the transexuals because my interests in watching LOGO are about gay sexuality and not gender identity. It isn't a judgement issue, but rather a personal focus issue. Keep in mind, that there are many specialty channels I've no interest in since the subject area is of little interest to me.

The Big Gay Sketch Show was pretty funny the few times I caught it at my friends house.

If I had cable I could see myself watching shows on there pretty regularly.

I agree that there are too many repeats on there. But I cut them slack since they are new and feeling out the market. I feel obligated to watch sometimes because it would break my heart if they had to shut down and I don't know how strong they are. Having the prez candidates though is a really good sign to me that the channel is powerful.

I have the perspective of having seen LOGO from it's very early days. There has been a drastic change in the programing. When the channel first aired it was more directed towards gay males. But I think as time and programing heads changed it went more in the direction of lesbians, which if I'm not mistaken a lesbian is in charge of programing now. I'm not a big fan of the movies because they are so chopped up. The real life documentaires are excellent. I also love Rick and Steve, not a big fan of the other shows. CBS News on LOGO is also pretty good. I like the channel, because it fills a
    void that until it
came along was empty. It's also good to know that LOGO is there at 2am when you just had a fight with your BF and you can't get to sleep!

Good news everyone, Logo is planning on getting more divers programming on the air. Look for the Gayonicman coming by late summer or fall. It stars the guy that played on queer as folk as the Teacher. The show is not supposed to be a comedy but a real drama. Of a Bionic man who just happens to be gay. It's sound cool to me. They also supposedly have other such shows in the works.

I definitely agree with the original post that Logo has some very weak programming. I know on-line friends that tried to get their music videos on The Click List and was rejected. I do think their is a general bias to New York.

    My personal favorites:

    Ant
The G Sketch Show (much better this year)

LOGO used to run the Tales of the City series by Armistead Maupin and I loved it. I haven't seen much on this channel as good as that series was......it would be good if they would run it again!

I actually prefer many of their lesbian oriented programs, because many of their programs geared to gay men are too flamey for me and I just can't enjoy that. Sorry men running around in make up and drag just not exciting to me.

I really liked it at first. But now they keep replaying the same movies and it has gotten really boring. I also think that a lot has to do with the censoring they have.

They only time I turn to that channel now is when these shows are on:

    Big Gay Sketch Show
    Noah's Arc (sometimes)
    CBS News on LOGO
Ant or Suzanne Westenhoefer's Stand up Specials

I haven't seen it available yet on DirecTV (satellite) here in New Mexico -- maybe I'm just overlooking it in all the 800+ channels and programming! (98% of which I have no intersest in nor do I pay over and above for "premium" channels)

If you have Showtime, and you cable provides LOGO, then you get LOGO. So look around the showtime channels (if you have it) and the channel should be around there

I too love the Big gay sketch show. but like most the movies are either horrid or sad and depressing.
I hear there are supposed to be some new shows coming that might help.

Yeah I too loved Logo when I first got it back in July, but then I quickly felt like I had seen everything on it and nothing new is ever on.

It's a great start for a free gay and lesbian programing and I hope it will continue to grow and get better and better.

I thought it was awesome they did the debate on there in the summer and I really like a lot of the documentaries they show, which are hard to find sometimes on DVD.

But more original and interesting programming is needed.

I think Bravo is just as gay, but far more entertaining.

We determined LOGO to be an acronym for "Lesbian Orgasm Givers Organization" since everytime my roommate and I caught the channel, it was a show about lesbians.

I did catch that Rick & Steve show and thought it was pretty funny, but wish the rest of the channel had the courage and edge that show did.

I love the channel - but not so much for the movies.

I LOVE the Big Gay Sketch show, it's great. So is Rick and Steve. I have the first season on DVD, it cracks me up. haha.

I can't the channel but I've watched it before. I think that it has a little bit of everything for everyone, some of the stuff i've seen can be a little dull, but hey it's OUR station let's give it props.

That's where I found about Noah's Arc I love...no adore the show, but sadly it's getting cancelled only after two seasons.

In agreement with the above post. I'm a big fan of their comedy/fashion/music/travel shows. But I do wish that they'd ease up on the heavy and somber movies that they show so much about the hardships of being gay. We live through those hardships everyday ourselves so I look to a channel like that to be more of an escape more than a reminder.

I have seen Logo, and I have seen out tv. Not much programming or movies to build those channels.

I like unoffical gay channels like BPM TV and fashion TV. These channels are gay and don't even know it.

Has anyone seen the Diva channel?

Actually they're working on a movie for it. Suppose to be out late this year or early 2009.

I get LOGO on my cable lineup, but it's pretty much all repeats now with a few new shows that I'm not particularly interested in. I enjoyed Noah's Ark, Rick & Steve, and saw Queer as Folk for the first time, but have seen little to catch my interest since.
