What Gay Gene Are You Missing?

We all have them---the genetic makeup that makes us gay. Sadly, there are some gay aspects we find challenging, or just cannot do. I think it would be interesting to find out which ones you might be lacking......

For example, I have 2 missing gay genes:

I cannot make a bed neatly to save my soul. I fight and fight with the bottom sheet and if I can get three sides to fit, success! Also, I never know which is the correct side of the flat sheet. If I get it all on there, it's done....

Secondly, I cannot wrap a package and make it look as if Martha Stewart did it. I'll use too much wrapping paper---or not enough. The folds aren't right and there will be tape all over the wrapping. It looks awful, but I try and try. Needless to say, I revert to the gift bags and tissue. Sometimes that looks pretty bad too. Help, Martha!!!

What's your missing gene or genes? Go for it!

Decorating. Can't decorate at all. Don't like it. Don't like shopping for furniture. I'm completely clueless.

Also I'm messy. Not organized at all. Very good at making stacks and stacks of papers. Almost ready for 'Hoarders'.

I hate dance music, divas, and musicals; and speedo tan lines make me go a big rubbery one.

I'm missing the gay gene that inhibits one to be self-absorbed and narcissistic.

    1 Musicals - I don't even care for Glee
    2 Gay bars - I've never been
3 "The shallow gay man gene" - I like guys who are just guys, they dont need to have perfect bodies or faces. Decent guys with great personalities are great, even if they don't have a six pack (of abs, not beer).

But my gift-wrapping skills are fucking perfection they would make Martha Stewart cry!

    I'm missing the masculinity gene.

    And also the ability-to-grow-a-beard-and-look-a-like-a-bear gene.

I guess this is not just a gay gene but more of a guy gene. I am missing the slut gene for sure.

Other than that I think I only have a few gay genes anyway lol

Oh, good. This is actually what I was thinking about again for an hour at the gym today. Want my deep, dark secret? I am missing all of the fucking genes. Having said that, even if I had every last one it wouldn't really matter in the end. I have finally began to realize that it does not matter if I am straight or gay, I am pretty much hopeless for relationship material- I am, perhaps, a little too flawed, too broken, too finished with it all to bother anymore.

So, I am missing the optimism I am supposed to have. I am missing empathy (I recently scored 6 on an empathy test- that is pretty much serial killer territory.) I have no fashion sense nor do I care to. I am missing my “gaydar” and missing the genes that allow me to “cut loose.”

Finally, I am missing the ability to even want to be around people. The best that I have managed in the past is to “tolerate” touch from others- isn't that want you want in a relationship? Somebody who attempts to tolerate your touch? I'm sure that I have missed a few other attributes that I posses that make me think I am missing most of these “gay genes” that I was supposed to have.

Finally, please pardon the anger and bitterness of the above- but it really was something that I have been giving quite a bit of thought to lately and it is not putting me in a good mood.
