was there in the 199th fest.. It was okay icon_smile.gif I just kinda failed to see the point of having all the gay people gathered up in one tent.

The event itself is nice and fun, but the gay tent was pretty much like any other gay bar. Seemingly friendly, nice athmosphere, some drama queens craving for attention, expensive beer... Everyone dressing up as if they had ever had anything to do with bavarian history (=lederhosen).

If you get over the superficiality it's areally nice place.
I'm feeling sorry I can't make it to the event this year..

I went to Oktoberfest in 2005 and had one of the best times in my life. I didn't go to Gay Day, but the whole atmosphere is awesome and it's such a fun experience.

Oh I'll be rocking the lederhosen. And that phrase alone probably makes me a colossal hack. But my group already has theirs. Besides, when in...

Anyway, I was wondering what the music was like in the gay tent.

I'm not a big fan of soft pretzels, but I hear that is just what you eat, along with wurst of course. Any food recommendations? I was told to go to some of the smaller more traditional beer halls. Also, I'll be there after Oktoberfest and was wondering about anny other recommendations, gay or otherwise.

    Thanks guys. :-)

my friend and I went yesterday (not to the gay tent) and it was pretty much one of the best times of my life.

And since when do we all hate on people wearing dirndls and lederhosen? EVERYONE was wearing them and we would have stuck out if we didn't wear them.

    Can't wait to go back!
