Does anyone have any idea on how to make this thing taste any better?

    Any advice is much appreciated.

it looks like baby sick and it always made me want to barf.

stick it in the blender with fruit and a little water to slacken it down and it makes it much more palatable.

Put in some peaches and pear slices, not too much juice though. I love cottage cheese. Oh, and put pepper on it.

    Mix it with some...
    parmesan.
    bleu cheese.
    pesto.
    sundried tomatoes.
    fruit.
    chocolate chips.
    chives.
    chopped vegetables.

(not all at once, mind you)

Mix it with raw egg and oatmeal, cook it like a pancake. You can add cinnamon to the batter as well.

    Oooo! That sounds "onolicious"!

My secret confession is that I love the stuff right out of the tub. I can eat a 16oz tub in one sitting...plain.

Also, you can put some on Ciarsolo's tummy and eat it like that and I'm sure you will love it! ;-)

I mix it with a teaspoon of strawberry jam. Of course, i love it plain as well. Also, you can use it to top a salad.

Licking a creamy white substance off a male torso is always a fun party activity. Cottage cheese body shots! icon_biggrin.gif

I think what I used to do was 1 packet of plain instant oatmeal, 2 eggs, 2 rounded table spoon sizes dollops of cottage cheese.

edit- I just remembered cooking it is tricky. Heat up the pan, then lower the heat, put the mixture, and then COVER the pan while it's cooking at a low heat. Covering it will help the top part cook and solidify a little while the bottom is cooking, then you can flip it. Otherwise it tends to fall apart, but that's ok, still tastes good icon_biggrin.gif

    I actually like it plain.

But, try mixing some peanut butter in it, or passionfruit is nice too.

I love cottage cheese; I just wish it weren't so damned expensive b/c I can eat a lot very quickly.

I sometimes mix it with low-fat yogurt or pineapple.

Are you using fat-free cottage cheese? You may want to switch to 1% or 2% for a little better flavor.

i'm not a fan of it myself - actually don't like cheese in general, but my mom usually eats it with fruit, and as mentioned she doesn't eat the fat free version.
