I made this video last sat...took me over 6 hours to put it together..from pictures from the web. (Someone more savvy prolly could have done it in 1/2 hr)

I did not know anyone in the towers or pentagon...I've never even been to New York, I can't explain why this was important for me to do, except that it was.

It was important for me to share this.

I originally posted this days ago and took it down after I became concerned that people might take it wrong. For me this is a simple expression of sadness, appreciation, and solemn rememberence.

I put it back up because people had begun to write some very personal, and moving stories about their experience on that day, and I removed it because of my own fear. Maybe, there is something to be gained from sharing this in this space.

9 years ago..It was a warm early fall day like today...I woke up, took my shower and turned on the radio to find that the world had changed.

Later that night, my (now ex) wife and I sat in the hot tub and stared at the millions of stars alone in the Idaho sky. No planes, nothing in the sky but stars, which is unusual because I live beneath the flight path for many planes headed to Seattle...part of the unimportant fly over section of America between the coasts.
My (then) wife angrily demanded that we should deport all foreigner students from the college town where I live. Unbelieving of what I'd just heard, I told her "When you say things like that, it makes you sound like a bigot."

It, in retrospect, was also the beginning of the end of my marriage.
