So I have my family on facebook and high school friends etc and today I noticed my dad deleted me from his facebook because I went to look for a pic and his profile was private again.

This is why you should never friend your boyfriend and/or family on Facebook.
It's a stupid internet website. Your father has obviously kicked you out of the family. You should start a FaceBook war, and try to get as many of his friends as possible to "defriend" him. That'll teach him!

It could also be a good thing as well.

My mom and I made an agreement should she ever get a facebook we would not add each other as friends as I really don't want to know what her and her friends do or their whereabout and vice versa.

Some people have great relationships with their folks where they want to share everything, me with mine is great but I also like a separation between them in my friends. Just something to think about.

I don't have a face book because I don't want my family seeing what me and my friends do. I am not on any social sites for that reason. I don't think its a good idea to connect your friends and family/neighboors in one place.

honestly i refuse to be friends with my immediate family on facebook, because i dislike it when family snoops like that... i don't have a facebook to socialize with my family. and i tell them that. it's just better now that i've established that boundary.

My college aged kids kept after me to set up a facebook page. I did but I block my wall so only I read what people send me. At first they didn't like it and thought I did it by mistake (old people haha) but they now understand its just a boundary.

Give him some room with you just coming out. That's a lot for family members to deal with in most cases. He probably doesn't want to think about your relationships so thats why he deleted it. I'd relax and give him some time..... Good luck.

Facebook is for girls. As is texting. Us men don't like to talk a lot! Be a man, and clam up! The dad thing is something you have to talk about in the real world, with him, instead of online. Maybe his boss is checking out his facebook page and once was buttfucked when he was stoned on drugs in NAM and now hates all gay people, or he was abducted by aliens or hat a prostate biopsy. There's this thing called conversation, that humans used to be capable of, before the internet. You can do that on a phone.

Tony, you're probably gonna hate me for saying this, but your dad sounds like an extreme closet case. All this hatred he's directing toward you probably stems from his hate for his own homosexual tendencies. He's mad that you have the balls to be true to yourself.

i added my mom to fb when i came out, and it was probably one of my biggest mistakes, she wanted to know everything and everyone, so when i finally landed in a relationship, my mom befriended my then bf and well.. life was like walking on eggshells for both of us lol.

How do you gather he's a closet case because he deleted his son from FB? Unless there is a back story, I don't see how that adds up.
