Addicted to soreness

Lately, I've found that I've become addicted to the feeling of a small degree of soreness/tightness in the muscles after a good workout. This motivates me to workout consistently so I can always maintain a degree of this feeling when I wake up each day. I understand that you shouldn't workout the same muscle group if it's still sore and I don't as the soreness only last a couple of days. I was wondering if anyone else feels the same or I've pretty much become obsessed with it.

I dont know if I am addicted to it. But I use the feeling as a clue that I have worked the muscles sufficiently to stimulate growth.

On a similar vein, I remember hearing two college-age guys go on about how they didnt like to use the sauna or steamroom after working out cuz it ruined the "pump." Evidently, the heat would dilate the blood vessels and the pumped up feeling in the muscles would dissipate. These guys liked that pumped feeling in their muscles, so wouldnt use those facilities. ... icon_lol.gif

    I love muscle soreness.
But that bit me in the butt a couple weeks ago.
I "thought" my glutes and hamstrings were sore from overexertion, but they were only sore on one side. A week later the soreness was still there and getting worse. Turns out it's a severe case of sciatica. Now I'm about to start seeing a neurologist because I'm three weeks in and the pain still requires meds, even after seeing the chiropractor.

I don't really mind the pain I'm going through, but it sure sucks ass not being able to workout for a few weeks! icon_lol.gif

I LOVE THAT FEELING. If I don't feel that after my workout, I'm not too happy.
