Eminem was Ok, Rihanna was kinda medium.

Justin Bieber was... Oh, I'm not commenting that, sorry. Was that lypsinc ? OH COME ON !

Usher impressed me. Nice dances move, but you're not the next Michael Jackson yet, buddy ! Keep on, though...

I kinda liked B.O.B. with Bruno Mars and Hayley from Paramore, but I would've wanted a bit more.

I liked Linkin Park's new song, but I'm not sure their fanbase is gonna like it. A lot of electro, but where's the rock?

And I LOOOOOVED Florence and The Machine. Amazing performance; of course she's not totally at her ease singing live, but she's not used to perform live. Give her a cupple months of training and she'll blow the whole stage. And still, she rocked that VMA, in my opinion !

And Gaga, 8 grammys ? You go girl !

    By the way, THAT...

    Lady-Gaga-Meat-Dress-VMA-Awards-02-2010-

... was perfect. The whole thing, including Cher, the meat purse, the crying, and the singing. Dear God, you have competition ;)

    I thought that it sucked.

Usher and Florence's performances were the best. I also think that Taylor Swift looked amazing, and did a good job. I also liked Mary J.'s and Drake's number.

Chelsea was funny a lot of the time. But overall, I was bored and felt like it fell flat.

I enjoyed it...Usher's performance stood out, as did Eminem's. Great to see Lady Gaga win big -- she deserved it this year and came off as very gracious. Cher looked amazing -- can't wait to see her and Cristina Aguilera in "Burlesque".

I'm surprised they let Kanye back in. I would have blacklisted him after last year. His performance sucked anyways as usual.

My favorite part of the entire show was the stage set. I absolutely loved the design and all of the multimedia aspects of it. Very well done.

Who was the DJ that looked like Mickey Mouse?

I'm going to have to DVR it again because the live version cut off a ton of the ending I think. I didn't see Cher or half the people mentioned on here.

Oh yeah, Bieber lip syncing? Please. He needs to not do live shows.

Yeah, I loved the stage too, the floor especially, pretty nice effects during Usher's performance !

And you guys should look at the beginning of Florence and the Machine's performance. It's so amazing, it looks like a videoclip. The cam angle, the turning stage, the dancing. I love her ! I've been listening to her for a long time and I'm kinda happy for what's happening to her now. People are talking of her like one of the best VMA's performer icon_biggrin.gif

And she can not only sing. She's also really good at running and going crazy in high heels WHILE singing ! icon_surprised.gif

Oh ! And the Mickey Mouse DJ is Deadmau5 (pronounce Deadmouse), a pretty awesome canadian DJ.

He was in Montreal a little while ago, I hated that I couldn't see him.

I remember growing up without cable how I used to want MTV so bad! Now that I'm an adult and have MTV I really don't care about it anymore. I was watching the awards yesterday and I couldn't stand them! I kept telling myself "when is this going to be over?" But i ended up watching the whole thing hoping it would get better. I did nor care for ANY of the music there! Meaningless mainstream shit icon_sad.gif

lol, I liked her but I didnt think she was at her best. She is fun and quirky... but her singing sucks. Her rapping on the other hand is great. She has a really cool flow and way of emphasizing words.

her ass is out of control. Def in the JLo territory. Love it. haha.

As for other performances... I loved Florence + the Machine... I had never ever heard of her but I LOVED it as soon as I heard it.

I also liked the Paramore performance. Hayley Williams has a great voice.

And was I the only one that was kinda shocked by Robyn's "Dancing on my own" performance ?

Gaga';s ,usic is miles from my taste, but she is a great performer, personality and vocal artist... so she gets five stars from me either way

Man, that Kanye West guy is going down in my estimation by the day.... the guy has zilch to offer in the way of entertainment, had two good songs I remember, mostly thanks to the samples, I couldnt care less about his rap man

Go back to 1999 where you and Britney belong.
