What drives them? Ego? Well, I guess that drives alot on here. LOL Nevermind. I just don't "get" it... what do you think about what the person below you just wrote? Ha! Try that one.

I completely agree! I have no interest in viewing or participating in the forum version of a circle jerk.

I'd like to make snappy and witty comments on them but don't want to get guy above'ed from the guy below...if that makes sense

They were fun the first few times I saw them but by now they're just way too redundant.

    Quick question though,

Is the guy above you above you?

Guilty of perpetuating them..and enjoying it.

Sure, I guess it's a bit about validation and ego, but then so is everything about a website called realjock.

Btw...I only post when I have something nice to say....and if can't say something nice, I move on.

Good advice here and in so many places in life. I think.

So the ego only comes into play when you respond to those posts? Where do you draw the line?

This whole RealJock site is a like that tricep flex that you exaggerate when you get up out of your chair in front of a table of people wearing a shirt that fits, just to show them you've been working your arms off.

I have a whole rolodex full of questions that I can't wait to try out :

Would you use a used dental floss from the guy above you?
Would you let the guy above you kick your balls?
Would you have the guy's name above you tattooed on your forehead?
Is the guy's ass above you so hot that you want to wipe it after he takes a dump?

Let me give the rolodex a whirl....

KILL ME is what I think everytime I see "The guy above you threads!"

"Do you have more veins on your dick than the guy above you?
Did the guy above you have enough fiber for breakfast?
How often does the guy above you piss?
What time did the guy above you get out of work last night?
What day of the week do you think the guy above you picks up his dry cleaning?
If the guy above you has X amount of oranges and he gives away half the amount that the guy below you has, how many more oranges does he have that apples?"

Because most of the guys on here don't really know all that much about fitness or sport. Since they can't contribute to those forums, they make those rubbish "guy above you" threads.

Have you ever tried to reply to a "guy above you" thread only to discover that by the time you finished and submitted your post your entry, the 'guy above you' had changed? icon_mad.gif

No, just joking. Yeah, I hate these gay above you threads, too. Don't participate in them and they might wither up and go away.

    Childish.

If enough of us wrote to the webmaster asking for the ability to "Block" a forum topic, they may just give us the option.

Some of them are fun and I enjoy the clever things guys say, but mostly they are pretty boring.
