What do you think of So Much Betta featured on the new Janet Jackson album that dropped 2/26/08.

I'm thinking they altered Janet's voice and she's performing the spoken word section also.

Never Letchu Go just makes me want to give her a big hug and say, "It'll be all right, honey."

As for the rest of the album, it has to be played loud on a killer system, cuz that thumpa thumpa just isn't the same on bad speakers. I didn't know what to think of Rollercoaster until I turned my iPod up so I could feel the beat permeating my whole being. This album feels soooo good. Thank God for the Bose earbuds! (still don't know what to think about The 1, though. I think I need to hear a remix with a fatter sound.)

that's the song i've been grinding in my chair to all day!!

yes, all the vocals are janet's on so much betta.

the similarity to a nasty prince jam from the mid-80's is pretty transparent ("feel u up" and other jams with the "camille" voice, a la sign of the times) - it's so oily and stank, and i just wanna rub my face in something everytime i hear this song. i LOVE it.

tired of bein' #2, i can do what she can't do...

somehow this song reminds me of the times i've dated "straight" guys. LOL LOL LOL

It's my favorite song on the cd beside "rock with u" "rollercoaster" "the 1" and "discipline"

"so much betta" is definitely a club song.. and it works good in the gym too.

Has anyone else noticed the Daft Punk sample in this track?

I guess if Kanye is doing it...

Kanye wasn't the first to sample a Daft Punk track. Busta Rhymes sampled Technologic in his song Touch It.

I just finished listening to the cd and I like it much better than the last two also. I guess she decided it was time for a change since she didn't use Jimmy Jam and Terry Louis this time. But that just seems so unnatural! lol!!! Still, love the cd!!!

Hmmm...drakutis is a hot guy and I hate to disagree with him...I wanted to like the songs, but they are just ok. Sounds like Paula Abdul or Brit Brit..I guess maybe today I'm not in the mood for the computerized vocals that sound like everyone else. Janet is hot and the camera loves her...I'd like to see her in more movies.

icon_lol.gif Thanks! I think she took a sales approach to the album this time to get the sales since she with a new label. It has some good stuff on it I think, just like 20 Y.O. had a few that should have been hits. To each his own. I'll be a at the concert though!!!! She never misses DC!!

I'm not terribly impressed. It's a fun song, but so are most club-oriented songs (which this clearly is). I'd dance to it, but I don't think it convinces me to buy her album.

I think I'm going to go put on some Velvet Rope--now that's good Janet.

Can't say I have been a huge fan of hers. I think I have maybe three Janet Jackson songs on my IPod.

"Feedback" was alright, not bad, not great. It was a stiff at radio but did alright on Itunes. It will be interesting to see how her next single does from the album.

I previewed some of her songs on iTunes today and thought they were pretty good.

I noticed that "Da Funk" sample in the song, jcurious -- thanks for pointing that out.

"Daftendirekt" is sampled - it's the first track off of their first album Homework.

i'm going through moods where i listen to it 5 times, and then i need total silence. then when i start it again it reverberates through my spine again.
