Fun with MUSIC!!!

Whenever I listen to my favorite band on my Mp3 (or otherwise) I get so caught up in the music, and love it so much that I either start singing, or if I'm in public I "mute-sing" (ie just open and close my mouth). Its really fun, imagining that I'm in a music video singing that song, and making facial expressions as in the video itself! Its even funnier if someone notices how much fun I'm having, while I tap my feet or time my paces with the drums!

What is your funniest moment while listening to music?

Last I can remember is today. I was doing some power walking while going home, listening to my Mp3 of course, when this old guy with a stick somehow passed me! (I guess he just pretends to use the stick, coz he was waving it about without really using it to walk!, anyway...) Just then "Breathless" - The Corrs came up, one of my favourite songs. So I started mouthing the first few words in his direction (without him noticing of course), while passing him again (note: bits in brackets are my thoughts during the song):

"Go on, go on, leave me breathless! (I was quite breathless indeed!)
(this is the part were i'm supposedly nagging him)
    "The daylight's fading slowly,
"But time with you is standing still, (I wanted to say, "you're standing still")
"I'm waiting for you only..." (at the finish line)

    Hope it made sense!

    I can SOOOO relate!!!

I think my ipod is in my ears more than its out...

One of my favorite times was when I was riding my bike though a lot of traffic and I had my iPod on shuffle. The soundtrack from Batman Begins came on and suddenly my bike became The Bat Mobile!! and I was racing to go fight crime!!!

At least until I hit a red light.... icon_sad.gif

If I'm in my car, or really most anybody's car, I'll sing loudly to whatever is playing. My iPod is a dear friend to me icon_smile.gif

    My funniest memory? Hmmm...
I guess it was on this one weekend on campus when it seemed like absolutely everybody was gone. It was pretty empty, I had just gone for a walk, and I was listening to my music. Good song came on, so I was dancing like nobody was watching, because I was sure nobody was watching. Eventually I turned around and my chemistry professor was just standing there, watching. Yeah, that made me stomp the brakes. He just laughed and walked off, but he must have said something to some people because I got calls from the tango, swing and interpretive dance clubs in the next week. lol

I was dating a guy that insisted on fucking me to Annie Lennox's "Walking on Broken Glass". Fortunately, I think he interpreted my insane hyena-like laughter as screams of ecstasy and I managed to pass the post-coital giggling off as a hysterical reaction to his unbelievable prowess.

Looking back, the funniest must be from my second grade class, when I was politely invited not to sing. icon_eek.gifLOL Been paranoid ever since!icon_redface.gif

my ipod is my life source!!! I dont leave home without it!! Alot of my cooworkers laugh at me when I get to involved in a song and start to sing and dance, but screw em, I love it...

I find myself dancing in the dressing room at clothing stores while trying on clothes. I dont know if I feel good cuz of the clothes or what, but Ill be dancing and realize what I am doing and stop. (embarrassing even though I am the only one in there) haha.

I was about 18 or 19 and my friend Melissa was over visiting me. We were listening to a cassette by the Canadian group Tu (they were twin sisters who had a one-hit wonder in the 80's with "Stay With Me" ) which I had just purchased and never listened to. We had ordered a pizza and were snacking away. She reached over to take a third slice, and suddenly, as if on cue, from the stereo the girls started screaming "HANDS OFF! HANDS OFF! HANDS OFF!" I was startled, she jumped back, and we both started laughing hysterically. Since we had never heard the entire cassette before, neither of us knew to expect that. It turns out it was the start to one of their songs, naturally entitled "Keep Your Hands Off".

Come to think of it, we also had a laugh the time we played the B-side of the 45 single (cripes, I'm dating myself) I had of "Valley Girl" by Moon Unit Zappa. We did it just because the title "Teenage Prostitute" by Frank Zappa ( ) just sounded, well, intreguing enough to want to take a listen to (about 5 or 6 yrs after I actually bought it). We played it, and the falsetto vocals were almost operatic, and so perfectly juxtaposed to the topic & lyrics, we were in convulsions from the first line. We almost peed ourselves when the line "Her mom such a tool" came out.

Man, when did life get so complicated?

Its happened a few times, i tend to sing an move to the music at the gym when waiting on a machine/btwn sets and also when driving. Once i was stopped at a red light and singing along to my music, kinda dancing in my seat. The driver in the car next to me looks, stares and then begins doing the same...another is at teh gym, waiting btwn sets, i was moving ot my music and a few guys suddenly began doing the same to whatever was playing at the time. Makes me smile every time it happens.

LOL! Funny stuff, music telling you not to eat pizza! Maybe the singer thought she had to go on a diet! (joking)

I mostly sing when I'm at home. I really love the song "So Young" of (yes, you guessed it...) The Corrs! It's amazing! When I get home I would be with my MP3, and I flip it to "So Young" and sing and dance to it! I even hold the MP3 as if it were microphone:

"Yeah we are so young now, weeeeee are so young, so young now!" (Yes sir, I know I'm so young, alive and kicking!)
