Today it's exactly one year ago that I went in to surgery, the gentlemen in the blue coat made a hole in my shoulder, poked in his medical-grade stapler, and fastened that, which was loose.

Exactly a year later it still hurts daily, my arms are still thin, I still can't swim freestyle and at the gym it's the small dumbbells with which I play.

However, about 2 weeks ago I was able to do my first pullup, chin up to the bar, not once not twice but 3 times icon_biggrin.gif . As insignificant as it was, it did make me happy for the moment.

The other day I was doing biceps with the bar, doing 21s, and I could finish the series (3x21) with my arms burning like shit, but without the shoulder nagging. I guess it's the little victories that matter.

Anyway, I feel that the worst is over and that I'll spend the next year on actually getting back into shape and regaining former strength. I hope I'm not too optimistic this time.

So yea... just wanted to share this... I'm a little happy today icon_wink.gif

    Awesome! Congrats on your improvement!
I'll probably be following your footsteps soon...almost four weeks into debilitating sciatica right now, with no relief in sight. It's like I can hear the neurosurgeon calling my name...
