Sabbath conflict may end playoff run
Jewish boys hoops team won't play on Saturday

DENVER (AP) -- State senators have taken up the cause of a Jewish boys basketball team whose playoff run may be halted because its players can't play on the Jewish Sabbath.

Senate President Peter Groff, D-Denver, said the CHSAA's decision was ironic because it has a rule barring games from being played on Sunday for religious reasons.

I think that is awesome. They are still standing by their religion!

Lets hear it for the Jews!

Oh to make it clear, I meant the sports authorities should have been able to see this coming. ESPECIALLY, since they have a rule about Sunday!

And, I guess, Friday is out.

So, what's everybody doing Wednesday evening? ... icon_lol.gif

Friday is the Muslim holy day?

So guess we can add an extra day to the Week and call it "GAYDAY"??

Wednesday's probably out, too. Big bible study day for Baptists and many other denominations...

Uh, Thursday, maybe? Anyone have problems with Thursdays?

I think Jehovah's witnesses meet on Thursdays. So does my grandma's church. But I don't think she is going to make it to the playoffs. She had a bad season.
