Christine O'Donnell on tape telling Bill Maher how she "dabbled into wtichcraft." And had a date with a witch on a satanic altar. Is that like doing it on the hood of a car? Maybe he employed witchcraft to make her a virgin again.

    The news article:

Maybe she should consider election in Uganda icon_twisted.gif :
    http://allafrica.com/stories/201005040268.htmlPoliticians Promoting Witchcraft, Says Buturo

Citing a report which indicated that more than six million Ugandans believe in witchcraft, Dr James Nsaba Buturo revealed that the problem has been exacerbated by political leaders who turn to the practice in order to win political offices.

He appealed to religious leaders regardless of the difference in faith to spearhead the campaigns to wipeout witchcraft and homosexuality in the country.

So Christine has a satanic past? Wonder how her supporters will feel about this. Personally I don't care, but her supporters are of the extreme.

What extreme? Didn't you know that all kinds of witchcraft are in practice in Africa and Asia and often predominate in large populations (vs. Christianity and Islam)?
And who said anything about Satan (a Judeo-Christian creation)?
But her current followers probably won't make the fine distinctions...bad for her.

They are indeed extreme, which means they'll ignore, rationalize, and excuse this. After all, they managed to ignore her other idiocies, this isn't the first one.

Their kind of mentality is unable to accept contradictions to their preconceived notions. They'll not only still vote for her, but likely campaign all the harder, to offset this "character assassination from the Left." Trust me, and watch it happen.

    Are you extreme, RED_Vespa / Wilton / Art_Deco?

Are you defending Ms. O'Donnell, SB?
Are you a devil worshipper too?

Ignore the standard evasive changing of the topic. Unable to deny what I said, the focus turns on me. Divert the audience's eye to the left hand, while the right hand palms the playing card. Right-wing campaigning largely depends on such mental slights of hand.

    a) Who cares if someone is a devil worshipper. I happen to not be one. Perhaps your question should be addressed to Webster-the-Devil instead.

    b) I am pleased that she won the primary, regardless of whether or not it actually increases the chances that a Dem will win the seat.

Aren't "us gays" supposed to celebrate diversity and tolerate differences? Hmmmm?

Diversity and tolerance is saved for those not attempting to do damage to our community.

And its not us who cares what she worships, its the conservative base that is going to shit frisbees.

But then they'll then turn on the Fox propaganda channel and recieve their marching orders to go to the polls and vote for her anyway.
And most of the right-wingers - hypocritically - probabaly will vote for her anyway.
Just not enough to get her elected.

Being tolerant of the intolerant is not ennobling, but enabling. The intolerant depend on the tolerant to get their way, exploiting it as a weakness. Fairy tale endings aside, it is too often the ruthless bully that doesn't play by the rules who wins.

As for the conservative base, they're stuck with O'Donnell, having chosen her over a well-qualified Republican, along with their allies the Teabaggers. What can they do now -- vote for the Democrat?

That they'll never do. They bucked the Republican establishment in order to elect her in the primary, and now they must live with her. Do you think a conservative who voted for her in the primary will not vote for her in the general election? They think all Democrats are Satan himself, and a Socialist one at that, so why would a mere Devil's Disciple not be preferable?

But don't worry, Republicans. Expect a statement from her camp soon, or maybe FOX will obligingly provide the spin, that her "alleged" involvement was at most just a playful flirtation, a joke she played on Bill Maher. And that in finding Jesus she cleansed her past of any indiscretions with Satanists, or witches, or whatever they were. Watch for it. This whole thing never happened.

Does MSNBC really do that, southbeach? I saw a collage of Fox News mouthpieces telling the viewers to call their representatives to vote against the health care reform bill, but I've never seen anything of that scope on MSNBC. Sure, MSNBC presents liberal views, but they stop short of giving "marching orders."

They'll claim that she's being viciously attacked by the "liberal media"
Never mind that it's the absolute truth that she explored witchcraft.
She is accountable for her own actions and if you run for office you are NOT allowed to whine about having your own words and deeds scrutuinized.
It comes with the territory and the American people have a right to know as much about the candidates as possible.

    Rachel Maddow

    Keith Olbermann

    Ed Schultz

I watch Keith every night, and Rachel sometimes. Ed only when Stephanie Miller is on. That said, the only "call to action" I've ever seen on Olbermann was to donate to the community clinics he supports which are nonpartisan and provide health care to people in need.

But on every episode of Fox & Friends, they endorse a candidate or tell someone who to vote for. Those are two very different things.

It's a good thing you're not a witch or Sarah Palin would have to get Pastor Muthee to run you out of town. It doesn't seem that he celebrates diversity or even tolerates differences.
