What we owe women...or don't

Many of the guys on this website are out and proud. Many, I've also found, are not at all. And then everyone else is somewhere in between. For those of us who aren't totally obvious to everyone in our lives unless we tell them or they catch us during pride week, I imagine that plenty are getting hit on by women. My question is that when a girl puts herself out there and makes herself vulnerable to rejection to you, and you obviously don't take the bait (it's the wrong kind of bait... sorry girlie!)... do you owe it to her to explain why?

I'm out to plenty in my life, family included, but don't enjoy constantly shouting "I'm gay! I'm gay!" while I skip through the streets. So as I've been hurting girls' feelings over time, and others who know about me (like at work, it's public knowledge) seem to look down on it when I don't explain to them my sexual orientation every time a girl is interested... I've come to start questioning if I owe the girls this admission from my personal life.

What do you think? Do we owe women an explanation for why we aren't interested? To spare their feelings? Or is it our own business? How do you handle this situation?

Yeah, LilTanker has it right "Women should be kept barefoot, in the kitchen, and pregnant!" ----the last can be done by someone other than you. icon_wink.gif
