What does the health bill actually contain?

I thought that I would post a short brochure that contains some info on what the health care plan actually involves published by consumer reports. I have seen hysteria on both sides for so long now that it was kind of nice to get a condensed version of it from a source that does not seem to have politics plastered all over it.

I did find the fine print under "Health care for people with preexisting conditions" to be interesting. It says (in part) that you must prove that you were turned down for coverage, would not qualify if you were offered insurance (even if it were high priced) and that it may still be expensive.

That part is too bad. If you are already sick and have a preexisting condition it will likely still be easy for the insurance companies to price you out of coverage.

Aside from that, it was an interesting read.

Thanks for the pamphlet. I know my office manager will use the small business 35% tax credit for the premiums this coming year. The last few years premiums have just shot up unreasonably. (After all, we're not a faux "small business" like Bechtel and the Chicago Tribune)
