Thought I'd ask others here about where they like to backcountry ski in New England. Tuckerman Ravine, probably the best known backcountry ski area in the North Eastern US. I make a point of hitting that each spring. It has become a tradition of mine. I also do some b/c around Mt. Mansfield / Smuggler's Notch in Vermont. There are some great chutes in that area. I haven't skied Katahdin, but I've heard that has some fantastic backcountry skiing and riding.
