I dont know about the weather in other states but Summer decided to extend its stay for one more week in Southern California.
One more week to lay on the beach and even out my farmer's tan, lol!

One of my buddies in LA was saying the same thing. He said it was 100 where he was at and in his neighborhood the heat index felt like 115. Hopefully it's a little cooler when I'm there in a few weeks... we have enough of that shit in Florida as it is.

Yeah it was hotter in LA, but worse in the valley. Ugh!
Good thing I live near the beach, which is a little cooler.

Hmm - here in Tampa, the mornings, at least, are starting to feel cool. Can't wait to be able to wear a jacket!

This is the only time this year that it has actually felt like summer. And it's fall.

In Phoenix, we set a record last weekend for the latest 110+ temperature since 1890. This weekend we are running 105-107 which is 10-15 about average. While I like the heat, I am definitely ready for the fall.

It's a typical cool Sunday afternoon at 17 deg celcius as I look out of the window and watch the moderate rainfall outside. Nothing unusual about this. The streets and the parks outside are quiet, people stay at home and although many a barbecue stove stand idle in the back yard, the smell of the burgers and bangers roasting alfresco is as rare as an oasis in the Sahara Desert.
And I'm talking about the average British summer.

By contrast, I read that today (26th Sept) there will be a big carnival at SF Folsom Street. It's a crying shame we will not be there. My other half loves leather, surely there would be stalls selling merchandise that would suit both her style and our pockets.

And the only weather we would have to worry about is the possibility of fog sitting as if wedged within the confines of the Golden Gate linking the Bay Area to the Ocean. I'll swop the rain for the fog any day.

same here in new orleans. i can make it from the door to the car and not break into a sweat before the car's air conditioning kicks in.

a small change, but a welcome one.
