Give you up if this is a quiz. Hit #1 in 1988 for 2 weeks.

Being white and from the suburbs I can relate much better to the Rick Astley joke though.

I was in my 20's in the 80's. I must admit Rick Astley went in one ear and out the other. I was listening to U2, REM, The Smiths, New Order, Depeche Mode, 10,000 Maniacs, The Feelies, etc. in 1988.

Whenever "Together Forever" or "Never Gonna Give You Up" came on in the gay club, the twinkies would head to the dance floor and I would head off to get another drink!

Just the cutest boy popstar of the 1980's. Solo act, pre-boy band era. I wanted to BE him at one time.

    How embarrassing...icon_redface.gif

I was too busy being sexually confused by the New Kids on the Block to give much notice to Rick Astley. icon_eek.gif

NNJfitandbi saidChewey, your hair in one of those pix would have fit right in at the Wag Club. I'd have made sure the bouncers let you in.

My hair is 20 years too late, isn't it? I'm always late to the game.

"Too much time on my hands"

Wasn't that by Styx? Am I confusing my 1980's music.

Rick Astley would never wear low-rise jeans when triple-pleated, high-waisted Zoot suit pants were available. That's what I remember about him!

New Kids? I was more confused by N:Sync... especially their original european releases...

Wait a minute... turns out one of them was sexually confused too. I knew it!!!

Timberoo, I can't get the damn song out of my head right now.

Before I go take medication or drink heavily to forget.... aren't all of those phrases in the lyrics to "Give you up"?
