Locker room mishaps...

So we all go to the gym and we interact with the "hetero" male. However, it is shocking or odd to see one of the "hetero" males come into the locker room and it just so happens that well, in my case, i am changing out or into my clothes. As soon as they see my ass, literally speaking, they turn around and jet off. Is it because they don't want to look? Or what is it that happens? I mean we all have some derivative form of the human male body, no? Or i'll get out of the shower, towel around waist, and they come in and they do a 180 and leave or they are getting their things ready and all of the sudden they speed off...has that ever happen to you guys???

Your ass must be so hot they can't help but look. I think we need a picture to get the whole idea. icon_biggrin.gif

Honestly I've never seen a guy jet out like that but I don't shower too often at the gym. Sometimes I will leave the locker room quickly because I don't want to stare or been seen as someone who's looking. Maybe these "hetero" guys aren't.

If you perceive this going on, you have deep psychological problems. Seek professional help.

Some people are like that. I do that! When I see someone's trousers going off, I just bow my head or look somewhere else. I feel the dude deserves his privacy even if it a locker room and total privacy is not possible. If they're doing it to get my attention is not gonna happen. I don't like to be stare at when I'm changing either. It makes me feel like a piece of meat.

Original Poster, its because he is either uncomfortable with the fact that you are gay or he has latent feelings of sexuality that make him uncomfortable. I remember before I came out, pulled into a parking lot at the beach and when i turned at looked at the van next to me, I saw two kids come up and they were french kissing in the back of their van.

It scared the hell out of me and I started up my vehicle and raced out of the parking lot to a new, safer spot, where my heart wouldn't beat so fast and I didn't have to deal with my confusing feelings.

Whatever the reason, don't let it bother you. Its his problem, not yours.

I tend to agree with CaliBoyS; conflicting feelings.
I think there is also a little conflict with guys & the gym; I mean, think about it, at the gym straight guys are met with the urge to check out another dudes body to "compare to their own, appreciate," and not appreaciate another guys body Too Much. I think it's a thin line for a lot of guys

I haven't had that happen, though several people in the past used to jet out when I just showed up. I thought it was quite funny.

I wish Caslon wouldn't say things like that. It is his humour but it can hurt

That acerbic sarcastic side is not really who he is.

Were not for the many years of friendship - the many unstinting hours he invested in me to motivate me, and embrace life again. The abuse he took from me to absorb all my rage and despair.

He not only took an in active interest, he gave of himself unswervingly.

When his humour hurt, and I have told him - he redoubled his efforts to heal my psyche.

I owe him my very life, and the happiness I have now.

    You make kitteh cry!!1!

People are not running out the locker room because of him. If he is perceiving this, he has a problem and should address it. I stand by what I said.

Ok, this thread is being hijacked, it is not about Caslon, start a bitch thread about him if you want.

Back to the subject, maybe you have unwittingly come across to a lot of guys as being gay, maybe they have caught you glancing at them or their gaydar is in full motion.

I think, personally they have a feeling about you and avoid you. My opinion only,.....Keithicon_cool.gif

Trust me...Major Straight men like taking a look at other men's private parts...some get very shy pretending not to be looking, however they do take an advantage and look somehow. Some are afraid of them being labelled gay when in actual they want to take a look..lol

I jet off! And if the "heteros" are jetting off for the same reason it's because they feel they like what they see. I mean, if I see a hot dude getting naked in front of me I get nervous and turn another way or something because 1) I don't want to embarrass myself by getting a boner, and 2) because I don't like to be stared at when changing either. If the straight dudes are storming off on you I think it's because they like your ass (literally) but they're afraid to realize they might be attracted to men.

Maybe people have been talking about about you and you now have a reputation in the gym changing room.

However, I think this is unlikely. As Caslon says, it's just in your mind and I think this is the most probable explanation. Is someone really going to cut short their workout programme just because you are getting changed? I think not.

My gym isn't a "gay gym" but there are a few obviously gay guys that go there. I have seen some straight guys "flee" when they show up in the locker room or sauna. When the topic has come up in conversation later they essentially say they aren't comfortable being around a gay guy in that situation. Regardless of the facts, they feel like he'll be looking at their ass - Probably because if they were in the women's locker room that's exactly what they'd be doing.

If this sounds like it could be your situation then all I can tell you is to try not to take it personally.

    Me too.

Others feel vulnerable when nude. I do it to respect their privacy.

I agree with the poster who said that straight guys don't like looking at another guy's ass. Thats a very true comment.

Quit making excuses for him. If he can't conduct himself properly in public, as a man, as a compassionate or emotionally mature individual, then he should just refrain from speaking publicly.

There is no such thing as sarcasm humor disguised as sarcasm. A put down is a put down. It is neither humorous nor excusable.

I don't really notice this kind of stuff.

When I change in the lockerroom I do my thing, I don't rush it, but I don't linger creepily either. I just shower, change and do whatever needs to be done to get in/out.

I don't stare at anyone, but don't mind if someone checks me out either, no big deal really.

And to your question, if some hetero guy runs off because he's got issues, then it's his problem not mine. I'm not changing in his living room, I'm changing in the gym lockerroom.

When I change, I keep my eyes to myself. And I expect others to do the same but I can't be sure, because Im not bending over and looking behind me to see if anyone is looking at my ass.

I change quickly and move out of the locker room.

Actually, I'd throw in with Caslon (though perhaps a kinder, gentler version).

You're probably self-conscious and just imagining it. Either that or there's something else going on (e.g. gym scent or dermatologically related).
I've never noticed anything like that happen (guys freaking out and running when seeing someone naked or 1/2 naked).

Do you also agree with him that the poster is psychologically deviated and needs to seek professional help over something like this?
