    It is owned by the people that own VH-1 and MTV and suffers the same problems as those channels- endless repeats of the same shows over and over again. Television for people with short attention spans that can't figure out they just saw that same show yesterday.

    I'm sorry but LOGO needs to understand that the LGBT community is more than a bunch of shallow prissy promiscious white guys obsessed with watching Buffy and Queer as Folk.
    Really, this is all you guys can offer, Logo?!!
    Ew. icon_mad.gif

    The BIG GAY Sketch Show is one of the best on TV but beyond that, LOGO is a waste.

    CURRENT has far more to offer for intelligent gays(and others).

    I prefer Current as well.
    I don't even understand how Buffy came to rule Logo so much. Were its repeat fees that cheap?

    Ugh........i hate that network! An endless parade of gay stereotypes. And, sorry, but Noah's Ark was one of the worst.........she was like a gay, black Blossom meets Sex in the City or something........awful. i'll give all the networks credit for helping make being gay a little less stigmatizing, but can they please work on trying to have gay characters that are a little less dramatic, flambouyant, or otherwise ridiculous? Not a big fan of being typecast that way or dealing with all of the ridiculous questions that straight people ask as a result of watching gay characters on television.

    LOGOs problems are fairly simple -
    1. Insufficient financial resources to attract and keep innovative programming talent;
    2. Insufficient market penetration to attract the kind of advertising dollars that give them sufficient financial resources;
    3. That same insufficient market penetration means that innovative producing talent knows that they can get better recognition through larger cable venues and even a couple of the broadcast networks, so they don't bring their projects to LOGO.

    LOGO was a poorly funded dream that fell prey to the ever-dwindling traditional advertising dollars, and MTV's limited vision. What little creative vision they did have, was smothered by imbeciles with MBAs and no understanding of how to develop, nurture, produce and promote unique content.

    It's time to pack it up and say good night. They make Lifetime look like HBO.

    Of all the gay people in Hollywood producing top notch TV and movies, winning Emmys and Oscars... none of them have ever darkened the doors at Logo.

    Logo so badly needs to invest some major money in hiring a programming director. A REAL programming director, as in someone with a talent for programming and some f-ing clue what their target audience would like to watch.

    It's not like there's a lack of quality gay programming. Logo's just not showing it.

    Not accurate, sadly. LOGO refused several very smart and capable writers and producers who wanted to do co-productions and have some vested financial interest in the projects, along with deals that would allow the programs to be aired elsewhere (in second-run or repeat broadcasts after premiering on LOGO) and their idea of a deal was so limited, so greedy, so insane considering the limited financial resources they have to begin with, that those talents never came back for a second conversation, and word got out quickly. They are NOT good producing partners. Period.

    Dead on.
    It's cheaper to run a syndicated series than it is to produce your own.
    You have to pay A LOT of people-- A LOT... which is why reality TV is so popular- fewer bills to pay.

    I watched the network late-nights when I was a bit younger and living with my parents. All I remember was Queer as Folk and Noah's Arc and other shows with prissy gay guys.

    Nothing to hoot about, especially since finding out it's owners are the same ppl who own MTV and VH1 I'm sure we can find some quality programs on those channels as well icon_rolleyes.gif

    The only thing I really enjoy are....Best in Short Film, Bump!, and Queer as Folk. Other than that.... I don't really care to watch LOGO because it is repeats of crap. I can't stand to even contemplate watching "Buffy" and "RuPaul" - I never will again.

    They used to have 365 Gay News... canceled it. They used to show some good documentaries... don't now. LOGO is now just a waste of time and money... icon_neutral.gif

    All the cable channels are going downhill. Even the educational channels like Discovery and History Channel are showing more and more brainless reality TV shows.

    LOGO has ALWAYS sucked. I never liked it. Music is the worst - shows are disturbingly stupid to me.

    The only stations I can stomach anymore are PBS and Current TV. They offer some compellingly well thought production and options.

    There is so much LOGOS could offer to the Gay community but sadly they don't put it on tv. Unless it's about Drag Queens with their obsession of making str8 women more beautiful (why), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (which has been playing the same season for weeks now) or just plan sex then LOGOS doesn't have much of future.

    As much as I love watching my gay themed movies and TV shows...

    I can only watch Queer as Folk so many times...
    Or watch Trick, Adam and Steve, or Latter Days before I memorize the script by heart.
    I couldn't give a damn about Buffy.
    I gave up last year. I wish 'em the best though.
