Back after being sick since Tuesday.

I ended up running on the track today for 6 miles. I ran 2 miles at just around 7 minute pace and once my buddy Doug showed up, we ran for 3 mile at around 8:30 pace before I picked up the pace to around 6:45 pace for the last mile I would imagine. It could have been a lot faster but I didn't get an accurate watch on it.

Overall a nice way to come back into running after being off a week.

I was wondering what was going on - thought maybe our little running forum had died a quiet and dignified death.

I'm having a hard time "tapering down" as my training program suggests. Had a really rough week and needed to get some stress out so ran 21 miles Saturday. I've promised myself this week that I will NOT run as far.

Since it's getting dark so early now I'll have to hit the treadmill tonight so my plan is 8.

    Glad you're feeling better Zox!!!

Just finished a 4.04 mile run tonight, finally temperature when down a bit at dusk still in the 90s...here in N. California anyway, pace was between 10:21 - 10:39, I continue with my interval training, and brisking through some heavy traffic intersections. Now getting some FRS fluids back in the system.

Good for you Briefs 29 on 21 miles on Sat., I need to get up there...usually for me Sat. are about 10 to 12 miles.

On a lighter note I got my Vibrams today but they were not the right size, I thought size 40 was good when I measure, but I think I need size 42s. I always messed up with the European sizes...oh wellicon_smile.gif
