I am planning my summer and looking for a moderately priced trip, tour or locale that caters especially to gay folk. Most of the popular cruises and tours are not $$ practical this year. If I won the lottery I would raft through the Grand Canyon, but...

Any suggestions, guys? I figure if anyone would know, RealJock guys would.

I guess it depends on what type of vacation you are looking for. If you like the outdoors and camping the Triangle Recreation Camp outside of Seattle is a blast! The camp is GLBT only and you need a membership (which is inexpensive). The only downside is that it is "primitive" camping - bring your own tent, water, food and etc. although may people have been creative and set-up elaborate camp sites - including power, running water, hot tubs and etc...

Go to Amsterdam !!! Its really not that expensive, and what a cool atmosphere everywhere in the city, even if you avoid the redlight district, its a great place to visit. Enjoy eating at sidewalk cafe's, take in some of the gay bars, people watching take some canal boat rides, enjoy the architecture while drinking some Heinequin beer (I murdered the beer name LOL !!! )its warm in summer and the daylight lasts until around 11:00 P.M.

Not sure about you... but I know that once I get vacation time to myself, I'm thinking about a few days out in the wilderness camping. Make it about 2 days of me and my my dog out in the woods camping and looking at the night sky to see all the cool stars. Either that or go stay in the city of Chicago and enjoy some alone time.

I'm not into "alone" this year, but I do like the idea of an outdoors adventure. Have to admit, though, that my favorite all time vacation was alone in Big Sur--hiking cragy beaches and through the wilderness park to Pico Blanco.

I LOVE Paris and I LOVE Provincetown. Alas, those suggestions are just too pricey for me this year. I'm thinking about Lake Powell or Big Sur or thereabouts. Wonder if there is anything gay happening in those places, though.

Hey, thanks for that. It sounds like a good idea. Can't get the link to work for me, though. (same address as in Google, so it's them). I'll keep checking or try to call c/o the Yellow Pages.
