I heard about this product called jack3d by USPLAB(pre-workout supplement) I went and bought a jar, tried it this morning before my work out. I literally did 3 sets of lat pull downs and felt like I couldn't breath, my heart beated like it was about to jump out of my chest. Needless to say I left the gym and went home. So has anyone ever use this product? If so what was your reaction to it? Btw my blood pressure is naturally low(genetics) like around 100/70 ish. I'm returning this product to GNC tomorrow.

I'm on it. It's ok, but I've been on stronger stuff, which I have to point out is not a good thing (feeling like you are physically going to die is not fun). If you're never been on a "fitness stimulant" your physical reaction is completely expected. Your body does get used to it, though. Which is good and bad. Good because you don't feel like you're going to die. Bad because...eventually these things don't cause any effect at all.

I use it on Leg/Shoulder days or Cardio/Core days. You need to be careful with it if you are sensitive to stimulants (Caffeine, white willow root, etc...) as it is LOADED with caffeine. The first day that i used it, i (stupidly) took 3 scoops. My skin started tingling and i was radiating so much heat with in 15 minutes of drinking it.

Yes, strong stuff at least initially. After about a 2mos of 5x/day use, I'm adjusted to it and my regular dose is at least 2 scoops and a full glass of water. The following will potentiate (increase) the effect: caffeine products already consumed (coffee, cola, analgesic pain meds like Excedrin), taking on an empty stomach, and not having a lot of water in you. First wave effects are similar to any stimulant: increased heart rate, peripheral vasoconstriction (cold clammy fingers/toes), and shunting of blood from the digestive system (you suddenly gotta "go"). Essentially, it causes blood to move around pretty quickly, and if you're not very hydrated to begin with, it'll probably make you feel a little sick. The other ingredient, Arginine is an amino acid and has a role in the metabolism of nitric oxide which is a vasodilator (blood vessel dilator, gives you the 'pump'). So, you've got blood coming and going w/ this product, which is, again, another reason to be well hydrated.

PS, not a doctor so don't sue me. Paramedic's know their stuff tho icon_smile.gif

BornFree saidummm why would you take this stuff??? sounds like a heart attack just waiting to happen. What happened to the old fashioned workout? Why the need for caffeine and stimulants? I get all the energy I need form food, and organic supplements...just saying icon_eek.gif

These supplements are useless and potentially dangerous for the beginner to average exerciser. If you've been working out for a while and have an established discipline in the gym and the kitchen they can help you push through a plateau. Rather, I should say, they can help you push YOURSELF off a plateau. Because they're not magic in a bottle, their effectiveness rests entirely on the effort you exert from the energy and focus boost they provide.

I am using this product right now and since I don't drink any other caffeine it gives me a little head ache which i just drown out with my music. I like to work out in the morning and this gives me that extra boost to finish those last couple of reps and to lift a little heavier then I would be able too.

This product also helps with the recovery period since you have more blood flowing around there is more blood going to your muscles.

I actually just started using this today. Like many people, I worry about what effects it might have. I started out with a scoop today. If you're new to it they recommend starting at 1 scoop and increasing to 2-3 as needed. Did an awesome workout, but did not notice any difference in sets or reps.

I know when I'm done after an extensive workout with "Jack" I usually can't breath and my heart feels like it's going to jump out of my chest too. icon_twisted.gif

Yeah I recently started using it (1-2 scoops depending if I've already had coffee). It's pretty good, but it also makes me sweat more than I normally do during workouts. It gives you a sort of "rush" and you feel more energized.

I have used both Jack3D and No Xplode and I'm still not sure which one I prefer. I do like the tingling sensation I get with Jack3D, but I feel like it fizzes out within an hour of taking it and by the time I get to cardio after I lift, I'm too tired. I didn't have that problem with No Xplode.

I love Jack3D - going from No Xplode to this stuff really infused my workouts. However, I have been using No Xplode for a while and my body quickly adjusted - so I switched and I really like the effects + jolt Jack3D gives me. Start off smaller if u get the gitters...

Same here, No Xplode lasted longer. Used Jack3D for 2 month cycle. Now trying Anadraulic Pump, Same tingling as 3D, but last for a couple hoursicon_razz.gif

None of those products make me jittery. In fact, none have any effect on me whatsoever.
