Really? I feel just the opposite. SGU is something I try really hard to like because of it's predecessor shows but I end up feeling frustrated and disappointed with it.
You know the one episode where they gated to a planet with organism that penetrated people's abdomens and killing them? I thought that was a good one but I felt bad because I was kind of rooting for the organisms! lol ;(
I just feel like they could have gone a much more exciting and interesting route with the show than what they've done so far.

The episode where aliens took the girl and the guy and they escape back to the ship was ok too. It just seems like in their effort to make it different than the other shows it ends up feeling really forced and unnatural to the point that it makes you aware of that fact which ruins the whole thing.

I've been enjoying it so far. What it lacks, which I think made Stargate: SG-1 popular, is a feeling that there's a silver lining around all of the Bad Things in the Universe.

However, love the more "realistic" approach to the desperate situation...except that the fat boy hasn't lost weight considering the restricted diet he's on. It must indeed be a glandular problem.

I'm nearing the end of Stargate Atlantis, so got Universe left.

After getting so totally wrapped up in SG-1 and Atlantis I'm not sure if Universe can live up to them... but will tryicon_wink.gif

I will admit, Universe is more like Battlestar galcataga, but I think hats what I like about it...it offers a different perspective of the SG universe.

In all the other stargates you knew somehow everything would probably work out and everyone was GENERALLY safe. Though it got kind of dark in Atlantis and what not...but Universe just has this overall desperate feel to it, if its not dwindiling supplies its crazy crew mates, if its not that its aliens, if its not that is other humans trying to destroy them, and if its not that the ship just might all apart. Sure they somehow make it out int he end but the way they do it is always entertaining.

Also I love David Blue! He's the cutest chubster ever :/

It just seems like they took Lost and Battlestar Galatica, mooshed it up all together, and put it on a Stargate set.

Greer needs to die. Scott needs an STD to throw some realism into the show!

Gee's now I am going to have to wait a year or so to get to watch it. As I never watch such things week from week for a whole seasion. I wait for them to come out on DVD so I can put down a whole seasion in a weekend.

    Yup, me too icon_smile.gif

A whole season in one weekend is a little much though. But I usually watch 1 or 2 episodes at night when it's time to wind down.

    SG-1 & Atlantis were/are FAR BETTER series.

    SGU feels lame so far.

    Cinematography could be better.

So I thought I was a nerd for liking Stargate, guess I might still be one. Every roommate I have ever had has made fun of me for liking it. I have to say I have enjoyed how SGU is darker and really think it has a lot of promise. I loved Battlestar, but also really liked the other SG series. A combination of the two concepts seems like a good idea to me, but it will probably take more than one season to really find its niche. So I hope it does well.

    BTW on the hotness poll:
Scott is hot, but I would have to rate Daniel Jackson way above him.

    Nerds and geeks rule.

Daniel Jackson is a hunk, and would complete the three way with Lt. Scott.

Got into Stargate cause my brother was obsessed with SG-1, which I found whatever. But Atlantis did it for me, as well as Sheppard, and Colonel Ford, who they killed off. That ans his real name is Rainbow Francks, haha.

I don't know if one bed could contain that awesomeness.
