When I was 12 there was an incident with a guy in his 30's I don't want to get into the details but it did a lot of damage and took me years to get over. I still remember what he looked like and his truck and license plate. Anyways, I think I found him online. I'm not positive it's him. I haven't seen him in over 8 years... Do I talk to him? I don't really know what to do.

    Notify the authorities.
Yeah it sucks to have cops knocking at your door; but if it's not him, the cops will leave.
If it is him, they'll take him in for questioning.
Be prepared for lots of time (possibly years), lots of paperwork, and lots of questions. You may have to relive the entire moment and explain every detail in court.

PS. Make screen captures of the page and print them out, just in case.

It depends whether or not the matter was initially reported. But in any event, yes, call the police, if it isn't the guy, he'll get over the embarassment and the police know how to be discreet in these matters. If it is the guy the chances are you are not his only victim, he also may be wanted by authorities. Make the call or go down to your police dept. and ask to speak to someone in Sex Crimes Unit......keep me posted brother, Keithicon_cool.gif

Not really. As far as I'm aware, there's no statute of limitation on rape.
That's why I told him to expect a lot of questions and time. They're going to ask over and over to make sure he's not making it up as he goes along.

You would NOT want to talk to him.

    Jesus christ no.

Block him and move on in a healthier fixation over obsession.

mmhm Paul, this is from you experience in what dept? Don't get him shitting his drawers over questioning procedures....they ask over and over when they interrogate the suspect, not the complainant...trust me on this one brother......keithicon_cool.gif

Do not talk to him, fuck that. That will just bring what happened right to the forefront of your mind which could cause you to relive the trauma all over again. Walk away, forget about it, leave it alone, for your own sanity.

The police already know about it. Idk why I brought this up, I was just confused. I don't think it's him. The age matches up but the sats don't. It says 5'8 but i remember him being much taller. More like 6'2 or 6'3. Even though I was younger and smaller thats a big difference. Again sorry I brought this up.

It happens, I've done the same thing before too. When I was 15 the police had to intervene because a sex offender on the loose had plans to rape & kidnap me. Those types of sick fuckers will always be in the back of your mind. It sucks, but what can you do.

you brought it up because it was bothering you. Just talk to someone at the Police Dept and get info from THEM, not a bunch of bar room lawyers on RJ (self included).........Keithicon_cool.gif
