Well, aint that the dumbest question...you're gay arent you!

I am feeling my oats again...and getting such an urge to go dancing. But I am not into the dancing guys do at clubs. I love to 2-step. It may sound hick and country but it is just ballroom dancing without having to get dressed up. I like smooth and graceful...none of that "spaghetti" dancing.

So do you dance...what kind of dancing do you like?

Actually I rank dancing with cooking.. I have possiblities, but I just haven't taken the time to explore them.

When I do dance, I certainly know how to 2 step really well. But there is an art all forms of dancing and I'd like to expound on all of them. It would be great.

I love dancing! When I go out at night that one thing people always comment me on is my dancing. I love watching BPM t.v and learning new dance moves. San Francisco is not really a dancing place like New Orelans but so it doesn't take much to impress people here.Lol.

Here is a dance video that's going around. Take this to the dance floor!

I don't know of any gay guy who abhors dancing; a gene that encodes for an inclination to the skill/sport/leisure activity - whatever you regard it - surely must exist in every one of us.

I personally like to groove (anyhow) to Celine's all-time hits:
'I drove all night', 'I'm alive', etc. I also think her new album is pretty cool, especially the track 'Shadow of Love' - it's totally danceable! I tend to lean towards pop music, r & b and some hip-hop.

PS: Not to embarass myself, I only dance in the confines of my bathroom lol.

I've done circuit parties and I've done two-stepping, and for me two-stepping has a magical quality that I don't get from just shaking my ass at a big gay dance party. If you enjoy dancing, give two-stepping a try; there's a learning curve, but it's worth the effort.

I used to go to circuit parties (the Saint-at-large) and clubs, years ago, but since I've taken the veil the Mother Superior won't hear of my going anymore.

    It's a sacrifice.

I do, but I get self conscious. I dance more when I've been drinking.

Don't you have to listen to country music when you two-step?

I love to dance. Ever since I am a teenager I love to dance. But nowaday I am kinda over the hill to dance in a dance club. It feel funny when you are the only one in your forties when most evrybody else is in their twenties. So unless I have someone to dance with I just sit there and watch

Oh yeah, I love to dance! But my last partner didn't, and we never went to the clubs while we were together. So I'm in need of some retuning. I'm sure it'll all come back to me when I get back to Arizona.

I used to do cowboy line dancing, techno cumbia, salsa, freak, some early forms of crunkin, well pretty much anything. And the more alcohol I drank, the longer I could dance! It was almost like a spiritual experience on some nights... but I attributed my natural dance skills to my mother. Of all her siblings she was the one with the most natural talent for anything related to music. So I was pretty insulted when I was first told I was a good dancer because I gay. But now I don't care. It's just something I can do. Believe me, there are lots of gays out there who can't dance, and that's okay. They just blame it on being white, or the military, or say that someone stole their talent from them, lol!

There are VERY few places that I will go to on a night out if there's no room to dance. Whenever I go out to clubs I LOVE dancing in a circle with my friends but I've got NO problem getting up on a stage by myself!

Back in the days when I was young and beautiful icon_biggrin.gif, I used to close the bar down dancing. "Komrads" in Toronto was my favourite dance bar. It was a TWA bar (twinkies with attitude) so I spent a lot of time on the dance floor, a lot more fun then listening to a bunch of pretentious twinks cutting each other and others up!

Dancing is fun - and a great workout. Just learn the steps and rehearse at home with friends before you go out - get your steps down, and you'll look swell out on the floor!

I cannot dance with any sort of coordination, and thus would never attempt it in public. icon_sad.gif

i love to dance. it's my whole life. it's therapy. it's engrained into my identity. i love it so much that i went and got a ph.d in choreography just so i could find esoteric ways to talk about esoteric topics through the esoteric language of movement.

i'm trained in ballet, modern, hip hop, yoga, gymnastics, indonesian court, improvisation, contact improvisation, multi-media, post modern performance art, and identity-based narrative.

    yes. i love to dance.

and, by the way, there is no such thing as a body that doesn't dance: i was doing go-go at club synergy in macon, ga last night, and i watched enthralled as a man paralyzed from the waist down get out on the dance floor with crutches attached to his elbows/wrists, move some chicken heads out of his way, and proceed to TEAR-IT-THE-FUCK-DOWN (a new dance form i just named this very instant). so. no more excuses. if you want to dance, dance. anyone sitting to the side rolling their eyes at you (you know, the ones who exist only in your mind, since no one is actually paying THAT much attention to you) is of no consequence. move your body - it's one of the most healing experiences you will ever have.

    peace.
