It's good sportsmanship to not pick up lost golf balls while they are still rolling.
    -Mark Twain

If a lot of people gripped a knife and fork as poorly as they do a golf club, they'd starve to death.
    -Sam Snead

    Caslon, thanks for the quotes.

    Here's one of my favorites:

Mark Twain also said that, "Golf is a good walk spoiled."
I have no interest in playing it, but I love watching it on TV.
My friends think I'm nuts. LOL.

Ok now I actually like playing. I just upgraded my clubs this summer and I am teeing off tomorrow at 7:00 am. I finally talked my spouse into playing and he picked up faster than I did, damn him.

I have never understood the game of golf, and am not sure why it's considered to be a sport. The only reason you sweat when playing is because the sun's beating down on you, and while a solid understanding of physics and a boat load of experience helps one to excel at the game, you hardly have to be physically fit to be a winner.

I'll occasionally jump on a course with some friends, but I find it's far more interesting and fun to drive around in a golf cart and drink a few cold ones than it is to hit balls with my shaft.

I think more gays should play, you get to have cocktails all day, grab a hard shaft with two hands and play with as many balls as you like.

Did I also mention you play golf on the side?
