i was introduced to this by a friend of mine. unfortunately i'm not sure that many folks will give this film the time of day, although it covers many issues that are at the core of everyday issues for many americans(or otherwise) and goes into details most people are unaware exist.

    zeitgeistmovie.com

it's a film about two hours in length and takes a minute to get going. if you're someone with an open mind or someone who finds certain situations and facts about the world we live in peculiar or disconcerting, the information that is provided in this film might shock you.

thought i'd put this out there.

    best,
    -jase

It is a very good and interesting film. I watched it about 6 months ago. The film made me question not only the film itself, but also many of the topics it talks about.

    It's definitely worth a watch.

i half-way expected this to bring up mixed responses, but there's no need for hostility. the FACTS in the film are from the mouths of people who were there; FACTS that are documented by governments and are public knowledge to those willing to seek them out. where these FACTs lead to could be considered speculation which is why i think it's important to know these things to construct your own opinion. really-- how many people know that THREE WTC buildings collapsed, not just the two?

"Facts" can be manipulated into utter bullshit connections at will, and that's what this film does ad nauseum.

We humans have a penchant for believing mythology and spurious connections; we also seem to have a desire to imbue great events with a mythology of their own. Unfortunately, the September 11th, 2001 attacks suffer from a particular mythology that seems to consistently utilize fear and terror as the basis of its weaponry. Whether it's the Bush administration using the fear of another September 11th, 2001 style terrorist attack to justify a war, or this movie, the same terrible connections continue to be the lasting mythology of the attacks.

These are "facts" that are complete nonsense, easily refuted (and have been many times) and are only promulgated now to the very, very gullible.

The people who create this crap are laughing at you, and you don't even know it.

I must admit i found this documentary quite interesting and thought provoking. I can't say as a matter of fact that all of these facts and theories are absolute but i did find that i could agree with most if not all of the opinions pointed out as fact within this documentary. It's all about love for me.icon_wink.gif

I'm going to check this movie out too !!! You guys are a bit too hard on our young friend Midwestmania, his example about the rarely mentioned 3rd tower falling is true, it did fall. and why !!! it wasn't hit by a plane so why did it come down? I understand that its proximity to the other towers shouldn't have caused it to come down. So what brought it down, does the movie have a theory? well, I'd better go watch this !!!

It came down because of burning debris from the other two towers. And yes, No. 7 was right next door to the north tower.

I should know, I was on the grassy knoll that day in Dallas.

Again, why must we constantly rush to believe a conspiracy mythology when it comes to the September 11th, 2001 attacks? A little research goes a long way in debunking these myths.

Hey !!! by the way !!! The way the towers came down is Bush's "CONSPIRACY THEORY" !!! hell his whole presidency is a "CONSPIRACY" based on "NEOCON" and "NEW AMERICAN CENTURY" "THEORIES" SO WHO'S THEORIES DO YOU WANT TO BELIEVE ????? I don't believe every theory I come accross either, but I like to check things out from all sides!!!!

Wellwell --- glad you mentioned google, cause I couldn't get it from the direct Zeitgeist site !!! Since this was posted bye midwestguyMANIA, I've done some searches, and found that there is a group of some 27 retired generals, current and retired airforce generals/US airforce engineers, explosive and demolition engineers, who have signed and put their faces on the net (therefore their necks) an urgent plea for a review of 9-11, this time not a handpicked group of Neocon BUSH followers. I also found where there are several countries in Europe, some asian countries whose legislative branches have discussed a unified re-evaluation of 9-11. With all the evil that at we find the CIA having purpetrated, and some "FLASE FLAG OPERATIONS" it would not suprize me to learn that the CIA was aware of and allowing 9-11 to happen. HELL THERES BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT STAKE IN CONTROLING THE MIDDLE EAST. THE ATTRACTION OF POWER, CONTROL, WEALTH, HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE A STRONG DRAW FOR THE RICH AND POWERFUL TO GAIN MORE !!!!! ANYONE WHO THINKS THERE AREN'T SUCH FORCES AT PLAY IN OUR MODERN CORPORATE WORLD IS VERY NIEVE TO SAY THE LEAST !!! I cannot say what really happened, but I sure don't trust our government leaders, CIA, the privately owned "FEDERAL RESERVE BANK" nor the motives of the NEOCON/NEW AMERICAN CENTURY "THINK TANK" groups, we should all be very very suspiscious of their alterior motives.

    dad,

Really. I like most of the stuff you post, and I wouldnt' trust Bush or Cheney as far as I could throw them, but this is just too much. There are in fact people, and they are in fact Muslim extremists, that want to see us humiliated and brought low because of our global hegemony and hubris, if not our religion and values. Did we create them, directly or indirectly? Most likely. Do they still want to destroy us? You bet.

I categorically refuse to believe that anyone in our government (or Israel's government, for that matter) had anything to do with this, either by direct activity or inaction.

Until a real fact finding forensic investigation occurs into the events of that day, theories are all that we have to hold on to. No one can honestly state what happened that day because the White House version of events is seriously flawed. The obvious obfuscation from our government has caused this confusion. Until they can give a version of events that passes the smell test, I will remain a skeptic.

Building fires don't take down skyscrapers on their own footprint and certainly don't pulverize concrete into fine dust nor create molten pools of metal.

wellwell said Ask Jpric to explain that to you; apparently, he's a Bush fan and wholly believes that sort of pap from the Neocon Rino's & others!

Wellington, if you've bothered to read any of my posts, you would know that NO ONE dislikes the Bush Crime Family more than I do. But hey, what are facts to a guy who believes the stuff you do?

As for the politics of it all: It is very-well known the Masons gave us our "Constitution," which has given us our freedom. The entity stealing it away from us is known as "The Builderburg Group." When you are done viewing Zeitgeist, then watch: "America: Freedom to Fascism" (Arron Russo's final film) and "Endgame"- also very popular on Google Video!

Aaron Russo was an abusive asshole who, when he was Bette Midler's manager, beat her and stole from her. He then morphed into a well-known political nutcase. That anyone would listen to him is astonishing.

i always see a lot of guys who write "this has been on a thread here before" - they seem to say it with annoyance.

there are always new members who join up (as well as current members who missed out) and who might find the topic to be new to them and of interest.

if you have seen it before and are bored with it, then why not just avoid responding at all and move on to another new, exciting thread?

plus new info and new ideas can always be added to something.

So this movie links Jesus, 9/11, and the Federal Reserve?

Why were Roswell, Hitler, and the Knights Templar left out of the party?

This is pathetic, and I mean really pathetic. It really says a lot about both the intellectual state of our country and the way that the Bush administration has toyed with the September 11, 2001 attacks that anyone would believe this tripe.

Remember, just because you want to believe in a conspiracy and a mythology, does not make that mythology true.

If you all have an interest in looking at "both sides," then by all means do a simple Google search and you'll find plenty of sites debunking the crap that has been weaved together to form this modern mythology.

    Like this one.

But, if you continue wanting to believe this junk, I have a present for you.
