Ok so I'm sure some of you guys watched MTV in a few recent weeks. For those of you that havent, here's a quick sum up. There's this 23 year old guy who does movies for a major company called Jet Set. The show was about him admitting to his family that he does gay porn. He claims to be 100% straight and loves the money and the attention that it gives him from beautiful women. After watching this, my curiosity led me to see if he had a myspace. In his profile it says something along the lines of (paraphrasing here) "As of now, I am straight but if the absolute perfect guy came along...etc)" Now my question is about how you all view a guy like this. Is he someone who is possibly on the verge of true self discovery and should be supported? Or is he just a poser that's exploiting our lifestyle for his own personal/financial gain, knowing that we just can't "turn off," the gay after the cameras are shut down?

    Thoughts?..comments?..lets talk!

Well Maxxtowt -- I think there's something wrong with the picture this porn star is trying to paint for himself. I think I am safe in saying that no straight person, that means truely STRAIGHT can have gay sex. its impossible !!! He may be bi, but if he's capable of having sex with a man, then he is not straight. My understanding of being straight is that sexual attraction is only with the opposit sex, so that being the case, there is no way that sexual arousal will occur with a man. He's got to be bi at the very least.

I agree with realifedad. I don't believe in straight guys who do gay porn either. I think it's a load of bullshit. If you can put a man's cock in your mouth or in your ass, you ain't straight. Sorry. That will never fly with me. But if that's what they want to believe then who am I to tell them what to think? If it makes them happy to think they are straight then I'm happy for them.

In this situation I think the guy is at least bi-sexual. The most objectionable porn stars are the ones that deny HIV causes AIDS and do barebacking sex videos.

I don't think it's for me to say how someone can or cannot define their sexuality.

Definitely not straight. Guys do it all the time for attention. icon_lol.gif

And all the bisexual talk brings up another thing.

I've never believed someone can truly be bisexual, and I maintain that feeling. While it's possible maybe to have a very good emotional connection with a woman, and a very good sexual connection with a man, I don't believe anyone can be truly compatible in either way with both genders.

For some people it seems to be a transitional feeling, when they've just not felt enough of the "indicative" feelings, or just haven't explored things enough.

That's certainly a whole other thread, but I'm interested to see what people think about it. icon_wink.gif

I have heard that a lot of the time this is "required" of them by the studios. They get more attention if gay men think a straight man is doing gay porn.

Like much of reality television, they give the stars "storylines" to stick to that help flesh out their characters. This is nothing more than that. He was asked to "play" straight for a reason, I would imagine.

I dont know, i think that someone can be bisexual. I also dont think that attraction necessarily has to be a sexual one, you can admire the opposite or same sex, I think that beauty doesnt have a gender

    Sex is sex guys...

That's why you have guys havin sex with guys in prison
that's why it was acceptable in Rome
and That's why there's such homophobia especially in younger guys
Because they know deep down that they can get excited by it...and it scares them
Sex is much less black and white when it comes to gay and str8 than you think

I'd have to agree. Sex is sex. The rest is labels. Are these guys that do porn totally straight? Maybe, maybe not. It only matters if you have the opportunity to have sex with them. Otherwise, its just conjecture.

I find comments from self identified gay men disputing bisexuality 'interesting'. Seems to be as valid a view point as someone who's self identified as straight saying they don't believe in homosexuality.
