When I was sixteen i weighed over 260 pounds and was 5'7" it was mainly a depression problem that got me to the weight that i was. I'm currently 210 now and 5'10" or 5'11" and it seems every time i try to lose weight i just gain. If its no problem for people to give me some type of list of things i can do it would be greatly appreciated. I'm 21 now and want to feel like a new person.....

Evaluate what you eat. Write it down. Group it into carbs, proteins, fats. Try to get an idea of what is happening foodwise. Try not to label this "bad" and that "good," but just get an idea of what is happening and start to think balance.

Walk and drink water. This is basic exercise and the water helps in all kinds of ways.

Once you are comfortable with these things, go on to more complicated arranging of your food intake, exercise plans, etc.

Remember to put activity and exertion into everything that you do: take the stairs instead of the elevator, get off the bus or subway one stop before yours, etc...

First, it's not dieting. It's a life style change. Youre not going back.

Second, the transistioning is harder than living your new life style eating.

Third, Start by eliminating commercially prepared foods from your diet. Prepared foods have a lot of fat, sugar, and salt in then. Replace them with meals/dishes you make yourself from fresh foods and ingredients.
