Has anyone seen this new show? I just watched the first episode online. It's about self acclaimed "A list" guys, all gay in New York. I have to say, i'm pretty embarrassed for the way they act. They're pretty much all spoiled brats.
Anyone else think this show portraits gay people in a bad way? I guess it's only on logo so not like main stream america/world will get to see it, but still....kinda not really helping.

    However.................

I think i will continue watching it online even tho it kinda makes me angy....icon_redface.gif

I saw it. Even though he isn't A list I did like Rodiney The Brazilian model. He might change my mind in future episodes. I also liked Mike Ruiz. the rest I didn't care for

I think Logo is looking for that big break through hit show that will bring it more recognition and viewers kind of how Queer Eye did it for Bravo. I don't know if this will be it. A-List is made by the people who make Real Housewives. The same formula is used for both shows. Real Housewives of New York with gay men inserted into the roles. If you cover your eyes and just listen, you might think it is an episode of Real Housewives.

The same producers that over see the production of the real housewives of Atlanta are in charge of this show and it's obvious. Looks like Austin is going to be the gay version of Kim and nene from Atlanta. Having run in's with just about everyone

icon_biggrin.gifCouldn't make it through ten minutes of teh show before I stopped. I just have a bad feeling it will give a bad image of teh gay community. Hopefully the producers will twist it to show how lame anyone who proclaims to be an A-Lister really are. (Now I hear them calling for my table....Bitter...party of one.)

Obnoxious shows draw crowds. The show is geared to gay viewers who should know that the characters are only a small segment of the spectrum of gays in NYC or anywhere else in the States or world

Reichen's got issues... Derek is a mega queen... Austin is a little brat... I actually like Ryan and his best friend (forgot his name). The rest I don't care for...

Oh. My. Fuck. I dont have cable in my apartment right now but i went home for the weekend last weekend and was flipping through channels and this show was on. I had no idea what it was but it was intriguing so i kept watching. It was a mini marathon of all the shows and DAMN that show is fucking hilarious. SOOOO much gay drama. Literally only gay men would be in that kind of drama. There isnt even that much shit on Real Housewives of (insert city). I think it's brilliant. You do have to understand though, that on ALL reality shows, the tapes are edited to give people a reputation. I bet that not all of them are constantly like they are portrayed on the show. Very entertaining though. And not to mention some hot guys too!

The show is mindless... However I couldent help but notice none of them really have impressive amounts of post-secondary education. I guess the idea is most would make househusbands thus don't need it? Or further more socialites don't need it? I donno, either way it's a good way to mindlessly burn an hour icon_smile.gif

Monday generally sucks for TV, this is a guilty pleasure for sure! Last Monday's episode was the best by far. I just feel so sorry for Rodiney, he's like a really nice guy surrounded by all these back stabbing bitches including his daft boyfriend. For those of you who don't have cable you can alway watch the madness online at Logo online.

That Reichen certainly has made the SHIT out of a 15 min reality tv fame, kudos to him! For someone with absolutely no talent, he's done acting, theatre, modeling, design... looks like next week he's going to dabble into singing! very exciting! I think his only shot at a career is doing gay porn, not that I would watch it.

Never watched it, never will, for the same reason I don't watch Jersey Shore. I won't have anything to do with people like this in real life (and living where I do I have ready access to them), so why would I waste time watching scripted interactions between people that are supposed to be "real" and whose only claim to fame is how outrageous they are.

To me Riechen Liemkuhl, whom I had the dubious pleasure of meeting, is the male Paris Hilton. He has no discernible talent; he's famous for the sake of being famous and only because we agree to pay attention.

If you want good TV I suggest The Middle, Better With You and Modern Family. They're all really funny. Last night's episodes and Halloween were both winners in my book.

I started watching this show. These people have no sense of reality. These people are trash.

Here's my opinion- Being from NYC (and I'm by no means a member of the A-List, nor would I want to be), I can assure that you NONE of these guys would be on any A-list. They're beyond tacky and to me, embarrasing to "our people". Anyone on an A-list would never stoop to being on television. Just like anyone with any "class" (a word the Housewives use constantly, not me) would never be on something like the "Housewives" shows.

I hate that straight people can look at this and see something that just perpetuates the stereotype. Aren't we done with this? Wasn't "Queer Eye" enough?

Sure, this stuff can be entertaining, but I don't feel that there is any counterbalance on television.

Perhaps when we stop watching this shit it'll go away, but it's cheap to produce, just like the people on the show.
