alcohol is produced by fermentation by the bacteria yeast, there's other methods but yeast is pretty high yielding. Caffeine is naturally found in some plants, which use caffeine as a natural deterrent to animals/pests. I don't think most drinks have animal products in it really, there's milk in a White Russian?

as long as it doesn't have milk or cream or egg or any other animal product, yes, alcohol is made from plants not animals (at least to be best of my knowledge on the subject)

If you get drunk enough, you won't care how the alcohol is made.

I am a vegetarian and personally I go with the definition that I don't eat meat. Bacteria are not meat and other food additives are not meat. I am not a vegan.

Coffee for sure is vegetarian and if you are a vegetarian then you are cool with coffee.

Vegan is a different story. Depends on what you put in it I.e. milk/skim milk. Also if you use instant coffee or buy blends from different producers, like foldgers, maxwell house, starbucks, and dunkin, then you will have to read the label and do your research on the exact process, because there are most likely some animal products in there.

As for alcohol...yes it is made with yeast or other bacteria, but bacteria are all around and unavoidable, and are not really considered an animal, so you're good there if you are a vegetarian.

However, again, vegan is a different story. The process for many different liquors and beers involves additives that are not listed and are animal by-products, therefore making them not vegan. So it all depends on what you are buying.

There are completely vegan liquors and other alcohols that are sold and expressly say so on the label.

For some ideas and research check out barnivore.com.

Meat eaters don't care about their health like us vegeraians and vegans
do.Vegans and other vegetarians take their own health more serious than
meat eaters do.Both vegans and vegetarians are more health conscious
than meat eaters are. That's why most vegetarians are vegetarians in the
    first place.

I won't either. I just wait for the stray cats to come around. Once you season them enough, they taste really great! icon_biggrin.gif

And we don't make multiple profile to ask stupid repetitive questions that all lead to the attempt to aquire a "hot muscular gaymacho man to have sex with and buy computers and do laundry and drink vegetarian alcohol" while playing Farmville.

Dude, I think you should step away for a second and rethink how you approach people about your choices about your diet and how you live.

I'm not a vegetarian to be "health conscious." I just don't like eating meat. And while I subscribe to that belief system, it's really unnecessary for you to judge others so harshly.

You can't force your beliefs on others and it makes me not want to side with you when you make wild statements about vegetarians being smarter than meat-eaters Unless you can refer to a study done comparing people who have been vegan or veggie their whole lives(have you been veggie your whole life? if not, how long? and have you in fact gotten 'smarter'?) to people who eat a fair amount of animal products, and if you know of one please do share with the class.

I'm okay with people who enjoy meat, because it's their choice, just like it's my choice to not eat it. Get a clue dude and stop hating.

And btw, both meat-eaters and veggies have access to this cool thing called "Google" Try it sometime if you don't want to come off sounding completely ignorant.

How did we go from "is alcohol vegetarian?" to "all meat eaters are evil"?

Clearly you live under a rock and can access no other website on your computer besides realjock.

There have been numerous studies on the health benefits for all who drink green tea regardless of the rest of their diet.

And that last "question" doesn't even make sense.

    So you need to :

    1) Learn how to do your own research
    2) Learn to use a spell checker/grammar checker
    3) Thought I had a three, turns out I didn't

    Peace and love

I like my drinks like I like my men: With lots of meat, a good amount of protein, and with the slight chance that you'll regret having them the next morning.
