A group of Missouri tea partiers have found a new target: regulations that would mandate more humane conditions in the state’s puppy mills. This November, Missouri voters will go to the polls and decide the fate of Missouri’s Proposition B, which would place new regulations on puppy mills, including mandating that they provide “sufficient food and clean water, necessary veterinary care, sufficient housing, including protection from the elements, sufficient space to turn and stretch freely, lie down, and fully extend his or her limbs, regular exercise, and adequate rest between breeding cycles.”

"Prop B is about the “government or the big company trying to tell people what to do.”

We already know that. What is more appalling to me are the members here who support these Republicans and Teabaggers.

Their lame reply is that "I don't personally hold all the same backward & hateful views as these Republicans, I just want to vote them all into power. So don't associate me with the views of the politicians I want to govern the US."

Or their other favorite answer: "Not ALL Republicans think this way, you're generalizing" which somehow is supposed to give a pass to the majority in the Party who do indeed think exactly like this. And conveniently ignoring that Republicans vote together as a block once they get into office, as we've seen time & again.

No matter what they may individually say on the campaign trail, once elected they vote as their Party leaders tell them, and that means extreme right-wing positions, especially regarding gay-related issues, minority rights, women's rights, unions, the environment, consumer protection, etc, and yes, even puppies. icon_razz.gif

When I was in SF for Folsom...had a guy start chatting me up...I realized he was on realjock and knew he was a rabid GOPer. With in 5 minutes he was spewing his hatred of liberals....I just excused myself and went looking for my friends. I bet he wonders why he is still single and in his 50s.

The GOP and Teabaggers are a sick group.
