Does the wife of the US president deserve the title as the worlds most most powerful women?

Hardly. Yet the latest Forbes magazine has named Michell Obama exactly that. The magazine seems to recognise MRS Obama for her decorating of the "White House" She changed the face of the office (literally) "it boasts, and her efforts to improve nutrition in schools. Worth causes, but did they deserve to see her leap over shoulders of women including Pepsi chief Indra Nooyl and German chancellor Angela Merkel?

They may of voted her the most powerful, but she will never take the crown off Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for the most influential and never have the experience Her majesty has, or deal with as many US present past and present that her Majesty does and has.

After you attend remedial grammar and spelling lessons, you should focus on getting your information from reliable sources.

    Sheesh.

Sorry but Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II leaves so many of these women in the shade, and like the First Lady of America she was not voted in either. But then Australia's first Prime Minister Welsh born Ms Gillard was not voted in by the people of Australia, it was a few men like the evil leader of the Greens Bob brown, and now they are in they are already giving us more tax, tax they said we would not have to pay during the election campaign; sorry a wee off topic at end.

Seriously...I must ask. Is English not your first language? You mangle it with every sentence you slap together.

He does it intentionally. His posts are satirical. He's more or less admitted it at least once.

I thought satire was supposed to have an element of humor attached.

    Silly me.

There's successful satire and unsuccessful satire.

And there's some satire that's too dark to be funny. Not sure that "A Modest Proposal," for example, has made many people laugh.

I'd been wondering if this was the reincarnation of Pattison, with these constant references to "Oz" yet with the same obsessively meddlesome interest in US politics, about which he holds the most erroneous & extreme right-wing views regarding a country not his own. Mistaken views which he insists on inflicting on US members here, despite being a "true blue Aussie; the real thing, being 6 generations born to this wonderful country."

Which is another classic Pattison trait & typical of statements from him. But I wasn't sure, since previously the spelling & grammar didn't rise to the same level of laughable incompetence we had come to expect here from Pattison. Until now.

So who is this aunty_jack? I'd like to believe that Australia does not produce these aberrations in such abundance, a country & people I admire. And to be this didactic about countries & cultures not their own. I hope our Australian members appreciate that virtually no Americans, nor really any other RJers from around the world, are so relentlessly insulting, critical & preoccupied with Australia, as this aunty-jack is with the US.

i still have issues with the first lady's use of sleeveless formal gowns.

bare upper arms just should not be visible in a formal setting...for gals or guys. icon_eek.gif

lol aunty is Pattison. Aunty claimed to be married to a woman and live in the UK. That's fallen aside now, and we're back to the ol' Pattison.

Fine, he thinks your country's First Lady isn't much, but then, that opinion isn't much. He compares who is better the Queen or the First Lady, which is silly (expected). The two ladies in question rather like each other and I think the Queen would be rather unimpressed with his opinion. If anything the Queen would probably give ol' Pattison a lecture on tact in public expression. icon_wink.gif

I'm sure some-one more wise has tried to advise, but she just would not listen. Now a women with breeding such as Her Majesty, would never make such a faux pa; you could be forgiven for thinking MRS O is from Jersey, no class at all. But none the less she is just a women.

Oh, you should have been paying attention. For a very short time after reemerging as aunty_jack he went back to pattison and then returned again to the profile name aunty_jack.

You must have missed messes like the "Clinton death squad- google it" fiasco that aunty's drunken delusions unleashed on the forums and gems like "Just because a few gay youth have taken their own lives..." He has returned to supply us daily with his comedy of errors.
