I had shoulder surgery last week. Arthoscopic (labrium & bone) and Open shoulder (tendon). Anyone had any experience with this and the duration and tips on recovery?

Tons. I've had 4 arthroscopic suregries to repair various damage in my right shoulder, from bursitis, impingement, and bicep tendon repair. Email me if you want to know any specifics...over the course of the surgeries I've become intimately familiar with the shoulder anatomy! :-)

Anyway, back on the topic... good luck with your recovery man. I'm still recovering from my shoulder surgery back in September. Mine is very different from yours (I had bone spurs removed), but saw others who were healing from cuff tears and slap repairs. All I can say is "DO YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPY AS PRESCRIBED, AND KEEP GOING AS LONG AS YOU CAN"! I was in PT from the second week on for about 3 and a half months (until my benefits ran out at the end of the year, and the new deductible kicked in). I went twice a week regardless of whether I was having a good shoulder day or bad shoulder day.

Thanks to that routine, I have almost 100% range and strength in my shoulder. Sure I have some cranky shoulder days...but I'm back playing tennis and doing almost everything normally. And I don't think I would have this level of rehab success without having done that.
    Take care man.

My PT hasn't yet been prescribed... I'm still in "wound recovery" mode hehe. I've got 4-5 more days of immobility before the doc sees me again. I'm sure I'll do my PT, since I cant work until I'm pretty much completely healed, no reason I won't follow through with it.
