Considering the amount of weight you lost, it seems that patience is going to be your biggest challenge.
You already know to eat and lift, so that part's covered.

paulflexes is right. continue to do what you're doing. it takes time. i lost 20 lbs after i had surgery, and it took me the better part of a year to gain it all back.

Eat, eat, eat and lift. For example eat 8-12 egg whites (1-2 yokes) a day, easy cheap, much much better than "muscle milk" rip-off. Boil the eggs, peel, great protein. Or get liquid egg whites at Trader Joes or other market, fry em up with 1 or two regular eggs. Of course this is addition to huge bowls of oak cereal, nuts/almonds and tons of fruit - of course all this is just for breakfast...

Just make sure you eat good food for gaining leaner muscle: vegetables, whole grain carbs, protein, lots of water. Gaining fat weight (from fatty, fried, and sugary junk) just for the sake of gaining isn't desirable.

Hi. Good luck. Read up on timing your foor throughout the day, especially when to eat carbs. (There are plenty of article on this site.) It took me a long time to learn that good carbs immediately after a workout make a HUGE difference in muscle growth. Since you have a tough road ahead of you anyway, use this time to really understand what works for you. Good luck.
