Who do you relate to more?

    I'm definitely closer to Jake's character. I'm a dreamer ...

A bit of both, but I would lean toward Ennis.

Neither, they are both weird. I thought the movie played up two horrible stereotypes of gay men.

Why can't we just see a normal guy who is gay?

I can't be the only person to see this thread and think that it's just a high-falutin' way of asking whether a guy is a top or a bottom. icon_eek.gif

No, I think it's a "high-falutin'" way to ask if you are more emotional versus detached.

I've been pondering on this for while.. I'm not sure I can I can fully say that I'm only or the other. That's probably just the nature of movies and literature. But like the good dr_jackl I too believe that I may too be the dreamer. And I want a dream lover, so I don't have to dream alone...

You've got some years ahead of you. I wouldn't be worried to much about looking like Jack. You may well come out looking like someone much hotter by the time you reach his age ;)

Ennis when I am younger, Jack after turning 40. Simply because I was a top during my younger day but a bottom after I reach 42.

I can identify with both in different ways, but I'm going to say Heath Ledger's character

Jack - but I'm not a bottom. I was always the one looking to be partners and be in it for the long haul. You know, the "It could be like this - just like this - always!" type of guy.

While neither fits me well I'd say I'm more of an Ennis, I tend to fall deep.
