Just in my own observations in clubs, bars, etc...I seem to notice MORE guys 5'9" and shorter who have really great bodies.

The taller guys are usually kinda heavy with a gut (bears I guess) or they're really slim/lean like me....Not too many of them have full package (nice chest, arms, six-pack, etc).

    Is it just me?

Do shorter guys pack on muscle and/or lose fat quicker than taller men?

I mean I know tall men with great bodies DO exist, but do they only exist in professional sports?

    i have also noticed this.

it's like Gawd (or doner DNA) gave them better looking, eye candy bodies as partial compensation for being "height challenged".

short guys are eye candy to look at and seem sooooooo gratefull when you take them home and ......

Just being shorter makes a guy hot to me.

Shorter guys might have a complex and build the bodies to make up for it.

Taller guys need more bulk for it to show, especially larger lats so they don't look like vertical sticks.

I would say that I'm generally more often impressed by the musculature of guys around my height and shorter. I think it might be because to reach their peak they don't need to do do as much heavy lifting, seeing as they literally don't have as much muscle to bulk up. I could be wrong....but hooray for hot muscular guys of all heights!

    1) It takes a lot more work for tall guys to bulk up
    2) There are fewer tall guys

Put those two together, and you get very few tall, hot guys. I'm still glad I'm tall though.

We don't gain muscle any faster, that's in one's genes. We have less to work with, so we look bigger. Also, I am able to lift more than a taller person because my limbs are shorter, and have to work less...as the weights don't have to travel as far.

In my case, no. But I'm always impressed with the shorter guys. I have heard it's easier for us to put on muscle, maybe less to work with? I'm not disciplined enough to radically change my eating habits and devote as much time to working out as I should.

After seeing "The Social Network," I would love to be 6', 4" and 220. This isn't going to happen. I'd love to be 180 or 185 though.

I don't notice more hot bodies on short guys than average. I certainly do look at them though, lol.

I'm certainly on the short side, i don't find it easy to pack on muscle. I work out with a lot of intensity, and still things don't happens that fast. As far as the eight not having to move as far, sure, but I make up for it by cranking up the intensity. So i don;t find working out easier, I practically kill myself when working out.

I know most shorter people agree that we're certainly not toys for people to take home.

No it is NOT your imagination. Shorter guys usually have amazing bodies. I can’t figure it out either. I think possibly because it is harder for taller guys to put on enough mass to look as muscular? Almost all of the guys I’m attracted to are much shorter than me.

I agree... Im 6' and I have immense trouble gaining muscle mass.... shorter guys have nice proportions... but we taller ones are better at martial arts usually, with the longer limbs

I sure hope so. It'll make up for not being able to reach stuff on the top shelves of every damn store.

I would think taller guys burn more calories since they have more muscle mass. Wouldn't they have to eat more as well if they want to get bigger because of this? Maybe they don't consume enough calories so their bodies goes into fat storing mode. Where are all the experts on here?

    YES,
My thought is it's much easier for a shorter guy to pack on muscles and much harder for a taller leaner guy to do the same. The distribution is different.

    I've notoced quite the opposite.

Short guys tend to be fat, at least from what I've seen.

I mean obvioualy not all short guys are fat, but they're def more prone to it.

This doesn't apply to all shorter guys. Only to the ones who are short AND stocky.

Try being a shorter guy who is naturally skinny (like me). It's extremely difficult to gain muscle and put on weight. I weighed barely 100 lbs. in high school. Through an enormous amount of lifting, and a lot of years doing it, I managed to gain 40-45 lbs, and now I'm at (only!) 140-145.

That may not sound like much to some of you guys, but believe me, every pound I got was a hardgain. So don't say us smaller guys have an easier time building muscle, 'cause (for me at least) it's not so.

hard to say... im 5'8 myself but i dont feel that height has as much to do with a guy having a hot body. It's possible that shorter guys are tryin to compensate sometimes i guess, but i cant really say. I feel that a guys body type (ex: ectomorph, mesomorph, and ectomorph) play a much larger factor than height

    interesting info icon_razz.gif
