It would be an interesting feature, polls.
But if we are discussing upgrading the site, why not add a fitness blog for each member? That would be nice to read now and then.
I find it both amusing yet rather sad that nearly every website feels the need to conform to the standards set forth by social networking websites; a push to build a social network community within the website. So much for originality; everything is becoming cookie-cutter.
'Like' buttons, while fun, really serve little purpose here. If you like something, post it in the forums and share it. I have often found that I tend to skim over 'Liked' items than actually clicking them. The failure of the like button is in the "Why do you like this?" There is no room to explain. And it is so generic now. "So-and-so likes blahblahblah." How boring to read that all the time.
