If these things bother you, youre wasting too much time watching others and not enough on your OWN workout. Nothing here seems valid or worth complaining about, except perhaps if the guys chatting to each other or on their phones are keeping others from using equipment.

Otherwise you need to get a clue and realize people pay their dues just like you and can do whatever they want, as long as it isnt hurting others.

Guys who spend all their time in the gym worrying about the other guys, apparently. ... icon_rolleyes.gif

    I HATE BAD FORM.

On top of that, I am not allowed to correct it while "on the clock". I just have to sit there while doing rounds and watch men and women partially paralyze themselves with terrible form.

Hah I work out at the local YMCA (huge cry from the incredible Gold's Gym I went to in college), and there is this really really friendly old lady who is literally there 24/7 every day. Must be her social outlet. Anyways if you are unlucky enough she will attach herself to you and try to talk with you for easily about 30-40 minutes (doesn't matter if you have headphones in and are obviously not paying attention to her) and follow you from the cardio area to free weights to the ab area...she's hella nice but it is excruciatingly annoying. Haha so that's the thing I hate at the gym, compared to that everything else is child's play!

Oh, and another time I saw an older guy (probably 75ish years old) who had balanced one leg on the locker room sink and was using his exposed position to blow dry his balls with the hair dryer...once again, haha after seeing something like that I could care less about any other "problem" at the gym!

I would have to say that number 4 on tumtitums list is valid. Nothing is worse then trying to maintain concentration while dead lifting or bench pressing, only to have it blown by some jackass that thinks he needs to bellow and grunt so loud the entire gym floor can hear him.

(On a side note, i'm not against grunting... but going way over the top is just juvenile and seems to be a quest for attention. Some guy at my gym did that today while squatting 185lbs. Not exactly the kinda weight you need to pull a Heman on!)

excessive noise, grunting, etc. there is a middle aged woman that works out at my gym and she is so loud it's just scary. she's constantly talking to herself too. is it really necessary?

other than that, nothing bothers me. i'm a people watcher anyway, so there is always something interesting to see.

    lol, a numbered list...

I don't really pay enough attention, you must not be working out very hard. Probably doing some 8. being too critical of others when you should be focusing on your workout.

I agree with 3, 4, and 6. The other ones aren't that bad.

At my gym if u get caught grunting to loud or dropping weights, thats it you get 1 warning after that your membership is xcled.

OK this is something I just find odd at my gym. A lot of ppl are now bringing carry-on suit cases to my gym instead of duffel bags. One guy even brings a Igloo....BIZZARE

How about the shitty house music channel that plays songs with the lyrics, "fucking me makes me bilingual" and makes me laugh hard enough to drop whatever weight i might be lifting?

My biggest peeve is when someone uses a weight, say dumbells or ez-curl bar, and uses it less than a foot away from the rack so nobody else can get in and grab a weight during their set. It's rude, infuriating and a pretty damned good indicator of how they live the rest of their life.

Take three fucking steps away from the rack you piece of fucked up mouth breathing shit.

Oh, and if it's too heavy to cart a few steps, you probably shouldn't be trying to lift it in the first place you fucking pussy cunt fucktard sack of donkey crap.

Guys who can't handle the weight they are using. They think they are studs when they throw their dumbells down but don't realize their bad form and poor technique aren't helping them or impressing anyone else.

Haha. I just told this out loud to my bf who does this ALL THE TIME! I have to kick him out of the way so other people can get to the weights.

I can tell that standing nearby and noisily clearing your throat hasn't been working.

I hate people who judge others in the gym.
