Ever notice a lot of profiles of guys over 40 want younger guys because "guys their age can't keep up with them"?I was just wondering , would they date guys that have the same phrase in their profile since they have the same preferences.

Some people are just more active with age than others.

It happens, I know a few gents that are very active and just require a partner that is also very active. We just tend to find that (in some cases, not all) when we are at a more distinguished age that we are meant to slow down and take it easy. Not true for everyone. It just depends on the person.

I date younger guys (and guys around my age too) for a number of reasons. But the most relevant one is that many guys in their forties are BORING. Many are very set in their ways and have limited things to talk about. Like job, health, pets, finances, mortgages etc.

When I am with younger guys, I usually feel connected to culture and what's happening in the world. I usually discover new music, fashion trends, ways of talking etc. And I LOVE that. And because I have a very wide and deep knowledge of music and art, I am able to bring that back to the conversation and most interesting younger guys love finding out about connections of current trends and music with past trends etc.

So true, most men over 40 are BORING. But there are a few of us men in our 50's that are far from boring icon_razz.gificon_twisted.gif

You have got to be fucking kidding me!

Guys in their 40s are boring because they don't have much to talk about?

    WTF!

What do guys in their 20s talk about?

How young do you go? Guys in their teens?

    Oh way younger.

In my native language we have a saying:

"Hoe dichter bij de nul, hoe strakker om de lul"

It rhymes. I'll leave it up to the audience to pull it through Google Translate... it's kinda dirty icon_razz.gif

    (specially for you amar_m haha)

What I have experienced is guys in their 40s like younger guys, and many younger guys like guys in their 40s.

I'm in my 40s and love guys in their 40s... and 30s... and 50s... I get hit on all much more by guys in their early 20's... started happening in my late 30s... oh well.. it's nice to still get noticed.

The same thing happens in the strait world. Older guys leave their wives for younger women all the time.

Personally I like dating guys my own age. When I talk about things I have fond memories of as a kid, like Duck Tales, or the music I listened to as a kid, how is a 50 year old supposed to relate to that? Older guys were listening to the Beach Boys when they were little and I was listening to Kris Kross's Totally Krossed Out.

Don't get me wrong, I like older guys and they are great friends to me and I'm glad some young guys like them and I hope everyone finds their self a mate but for me, I like a guy around my own age.

Honestly I think there are dull and fascinating people to be found in every age range and demographic. One just has to have that "magic magnetism" that finds the right ones and weeds out the rest*. icon_wink.gif

i read all these diff opinions/views and learn more about human beings every day - i dont take offense at any of it- if someone wants to date someone else - whatever their age - it is their life - their concern and i have no right commenting about it. i think people gay/straight take offense coz they are insecure - it is a human condition and we are all insecure about something or the other.i wld love 2 date guys my age coz we share so many things in common splly experience of living all those extra years - but all the guys i try say they date younger guys- oh, well-such is life and i have to accept it as it is.no point in wasting my time/life on things i cant change.good luck 2 all in their quest 4 mr. perfect/right/ok/will do/whatever/just give me sex etc.love-rahi. b safe-always.
