Just this week, I saw my first UFO.
TAKE NOTE: I don't believe in UFO's, but seeing a real one for the first time.... WOW
My father saw it first. It was around 8:30 PM. My mom came running and told us dad had seen a UFO. I was skeptical of course. LOL
So we went outside. And my jaw dropped LOL.
The sky was overcast. Really dark. No stars at all. And somewhere to the south (almost right on top of a neighboring town, we live on a valley that's more or less flat for miles) was a DIM disk on the clouds. Almost like as if something round and lighted was within the clouds.
The thing is it stops and then circles and then stops again. Always in the same path. And it never lost the disk shape. You bet the hairs on the back of my neck were standing LOL.
We woke up my sister who had a digicam and tried to film it, but it was too dark. I think she still has the footage but asides from us (mom, dad, two sis, my younger bro, and me), I don't think anything is really visible on it.
When the disk starts to our direction, it's very frightening. LOL. It stayed for about an hour, then my dad said it returned later. Also it was moving quite fast. It looks pretty slow from our POV but imagining it moving around there, you have to realize that it's moving faster than your average plane.
You've got to understand that we're a family of skeptics LOL. And if we haven't seen that we wouldn't have believed it.
My dad came up with the explanation that it was some cloudseeding operation on the Kitanglad mountain range. But when I researched it, cloud seeding is mostly done by plane and missiles. And that didn't look like a missile. Of course it could have been a searchlight or something (a la Batman), but there are no searchlights here LOL, and I don't know of any other manmade light that has enough power to do that.
Anyway on to more mundane phenomena.
The comet that was visible in the 1990's. I can't remember the exact date or what comet it was. I was very young. I remember looking out of the family car (we were coming home from a trip) as my parents pointed it out and thinking it was very beautiful.
Also a late afternoon, the sky was golden and the moon hung just above the western horizon and it looked like a big balloon, lit gold on one side and reddish on the other.
And yeah, another episode from childhood. I think we've seen the skylab or another satellite. My brother and some friends were spreadeagled on the concrete dryer we once had just beside our house watching for meteorites. When I suddenly noticed a star moving across the sky. It wasn't a plane because it was tiny and white and there was no sonic boom. If you move your eyes a bit, you'd lose it. But yeah we all saw it. Even then I knew it wasn't a UFO but probably something manmade. Hehe
